As the commentators said, it's quietly gotten late in this game - it's time to score some runs, and this is a good opportunity to do it.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
gotta be able to make a team like arizona pay for their mistakes, they don't give the opportunity very often

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes, all 4 runs unearned.

now going into the bottom of the 5th. Gibson with 8 SO for the game

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes, it is common for softball teams to use the same pitcher several games in a row. Texas used Cat Osterman in almost every game the past 2 years.

The softball pitching motion is less stressful on the arm than baseball, so pitchers can pitch more often.

Yes...quite common.

This is my #1 knock against softball. A team can be quite mediocre, but can go very far if they have one stud pitcher. See Texas with Cat Osterman. They had no bats, but won a ton of games 1-0 when she was pitching.

Fast pitch softball puts little to no strain on a pitcher's arm. It is not uncommon for one pitcher to throw 60, 70 or even 80% of a team's innings over the course of a season.

BQ_90
How long do you want to ignore this user?

TAZ99
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Thats interesting that despite the underarm motion there isn't that much strain on the arm. Do you think they've ever discussed rules against a pitcher throwing so often?

OK, we go down in order in the top of the 6th.

UA has 2,3,4 up in the bottom of the 6th.

Time for Megan to shut the door on the Cats.
