What an absolutely boring playoff season this has been so far. The worst one I can remember in a long time.

Through 17 postseason games, there have not been any dramatic late inning hits, home runs, walk-off at bats, blown saves, etc..,

No extra-inning games. No deciding game fives in the division series. No major controversies. Too many weather delays, and way too much strong relief pitching.

We'll see if the Cardinals can make the NLCS interesting, but the ALCS looks like a real snoozer now with the Tigers dominating the first 2 games vs. Oakland.

Say what you will about the Astros, but no one can deny that Houston along with the Cards & Braves didn't bring great drama and edge-of-your-seat excitement to their playoff series. Where's Brad Lidge when you need him?

C'mon Tigers, A's, Mets, and Cards give the fans some excitement, please.

I will never, ever complain about a string of generally well played games in the middle of October.

Last night's game was awesome. Pitchers duel between the much maligned high priced free agent with the stud brother and the old vangaurd firing on all 8 cylinders. Toss in a mammoth blast by a post-season star, and you have some pretty compelling baseball.

Also part of great playoff baseball though is a team putting together a 9th inning rally to beat a top closer. Hitting in the clutch. We'll see what happens in tonight's games.

Well said Agsncws, of course a little drama is always nice too.

hold on, I have just seen something I've never seen in an MLB game before. The Oakland second baseman is wearing a stocking cap over his baseball cap in the field.

one of the national reporters agree with me:

although tonight's New York-St.Louis game feature some super-clutch 9th inning hits. That's 1 out of 19. The AL playoffs have been a tremendous snooze fest thanks to the tigers' pitching.

I'm usually a huge baseball fan, but this has been a snooze fest. I think it's less about the teams playing lights out baseball and more about players on the losing teams just choking.

The Division series were all awful, just uncompetitive, the ALCS is heading the same way. That leaves only 2 series possible, the NLCS and World Series that could be interesting. They would have to be really good to make up for this crapfest.

Detroit gets the sweep, but at least it had a great inning with the 3-run walk-off by Ordonez. Now the Tigers get 7 days off!

all right, the Cards and Mets have traded comfortable wins in games 3 and 4, but the series is going to at least 6 games. That is good.

The Cards and Mets are going to beat each other up in a protracted NLCS and make it more likely that Detroit makes it three AL sweeps in a row.
