Living in Alabama, I must rely on Game Tracker via the Athletic Dept website to attempt to get real time coverage. I chose to listen to Dave South during football, but couldn't stomach him during basketball. As for baseball and basketball, Game Tracker is absolutely horrible. Never have they made it through a complete game without going "dead" for extended periods of time, many games went dead to never come back on while the outcome was in the balance. I contacted Game Tracker about the problem and they say the problem is with the A&M pressbox staff. I doubt it, but something should change. Last night it went dead for about an hour then updated itself with the great news of tech's 7 run inning. Being angry (followed by sick-to-my-stomach) I turned it off and waited until this morning to get the outcome.

As a test, I've "attended" other Game Tracker event at other school's sites. Never a problem.

I've experienced problems with Game Tracker everywhere I've used it. Many times in the past, we would use the opposing teams "live updates" when we were on the road (i.e. GametRacker). It was always, at best, mediocre. I don't think it's A&M, I just don't think it's a very good system. I'm assuming that it must be relatively cheap and that we are stuck with it.

I didn't think it was our fault either. Whomever the NCAA is using for March Madness realtime coverage is very good.

When we did it in-house it was MUCH better.

Although GameTracker is equipped to do a pitch-by-pitch account of the ongoing game, it updates (on a good day) about once per at-bat. I remember the old system never missed a pitch or play. I miss it, and I'm pissed that we've sold out to these clowns.

The only thing I use Game Tracker for is to get the lineup....when that'll even come up.

Gametracker still says that the game hasn't even started yet. I hate gametracker - it's B.S.

Now it is 1st inning again. Deja vu I guess. They are lame.

Can't believe it but the game update come faster here than on GameTracker.

We had one walk and one pop up with nothing reported on GameTracker for 5 minutes. Thanks goodness for other avenues to get info... like the "official game thread". Whoop

I've tried to follow many games this season with Gametracker and the only ones I have gotten anything out of is vs Notre Dame and the Friday night tech game. It is horrible this year

Being the "only game in town", I'll be logged in on GameTracker at 1:00 today, but I'll also be logged in on this forum so I can get realtime updates. Pitiful, huh? Maybe we should mention this to our esteemed AD at his jazzy website. (Sorry, had to)
