oK...a buddy of mine is going to be announcing some high school games this season and wants some good music and sound effects to use. He needs some ideas, songs, etc. I've already offered "broken glass" sound and "Take Me Out To the Ballgame". Rock songs and country songs work as well. I always liked Daylon Holt coming out to "Machine Head" by Bush. I never could figure out why Jason Tyner used "Loly pop". Yes, I was Class of '98! Thanks and Gig'em

I think Matt Farnum came out to close to "New Noise" by Refused.

That was so badass.

texasaggie04, great list! I only saw one omission: Bugler's Dream (the Olympic music) - great defensive play

Man, you brought back some memories with those late 80's at bat signature songs. That was greatness with a second helping.

Thanks. I'm always looking to add more when people think of them. (Or when the season starts in a couple of weeks!)

Chances are slim but if there is a player on the team who's initials are KLF then "3 AM Eternal" by KLF would be pretty sweet.
That list is incredible btw. About '02-'03ish somebody came out to Notorious BIG's - Big Poppa...just to add one for ya.

George Strait: The Fireman - Pregame

wasn't that for a pitching change? Also if I'm not mistaken, and it's been many years, they played Procol Harum's "Conquistador" when Anthony De La Cruz came in to pitch (Dang! That made me feel old just thinking about it)

You're right, they do sometimes play it for a pitching change too. I'll add that in there. I think that in the past year or two it's been a regular song in the pregame lineup.

I don't know the days of Cruz, anybody want to confirm that? I can add it anyway though.

DD Grubbs used to introduce the starting lineup of the opposing team while playing the theme song from "Leave it to Beaver". He timed it so that the last player was introduced and the theme concluded with "and Jerry Mathers, as the Beaver".

Gotta go with Ozzy's "Crazy Train" each time the bases are loaded.

"All Aboard!"

At the Disch they play the theme to RBI Baseball everytime we score a run on a hit (except homers). Some of the old farts don't like it but the generation that lived and died with that game loves it.

I would caution your buddy from trying to re-create Olsen at a high school stadium. It will look ridiculous using broken glass if everyone can see the ball rolling in dirt beyond the stands. Tell him to stick to playing a nice song to run out to, change of pitchers, and between innings.
