LOL, we are fine guys... I have a feeling we will find those bats by regional time, and we will be a HOT team....

we are 2-4 in conference, not great, but not bad.... we played 2 away series, against one good team tech, and in the other series well we had chances and didnt capitalize. 3 of our 4 loses were close losses, 2 runs or less... if our bats pick up we will be fine.... One bad day at OU is not the end of the season... we can still do well in the conference and make it to a regional and host.

The Sky has not fallen like many think. Hell we will stil be in the top 25 after this week.

The top 25 do not host a regional. Any loss to OU is bad.

There is no acceptable reason why Texas A&M baseball cannot compete on the level of tu/Rice/ LSU and have the same type of post-season success.

All this criticism is not solely based on this year. This is after years of dissapointing seasons. Would you trade programs with Rice or Texas right now? I damn sure would.

I would trade with tu, they are very good, consistantly although they do have some shady players, arrested/professional mexican leagers.... Rice, I would not... they have a good program, but I dont think I would trade, I think we are in a better set up than Rice... last year we beat them at their regional.

And to define Fine, we are winning most of our games, we are 2-4 in conference and have not played at home yet... the conference will be very even after seeing the 1st 2 weeks, I think we will make a regional witrh no problems, I dont think we will win the Big 12 reg season, but could win the tourney, and we have a good shot to host a regional. I think us and tu willl host with rice going to onw of ours.

When will some of you wake up? Look at all the recent success that they have had on the field..both have been to Omaha numerous times and have won in omaha..both have a National Title. Meanwhile we have underachieving and are no closer to being an elite program than we were a decade ago.

I have been posting this stat since around game 10.....

2000 Season team batting average - .283

2005 Season team batting average - .279

We might miss regionals and will not play in a Super.

because the batting average is the key to winning games Pitching, Defense and timley hitting have nothing to do with it.

Better set up than Rice for what? How long have you been following college baseball? Do you realize that Rice in just the last 5 years has more CWS apperances than we do wins in Omaha.. and oh yeah a national title.

Sarcasm I hope. That is the entire point of the grumbling being heard in Olsen. We shouldn't have to suffer through these mediocre seasons when we average 6,000 fans a game.

I would post a reply, but I might upset the STAFF?, which at this time, seem to be on a mission to ban any posts that have a semblance of reality as to our baseball team? and it's lack of performance in Big 12 play.

I am surprised that we even have grass on our baseball field because the cows should have eaten it all by now and wallered the infield into one big mudhole. I hear that we may lose Coach Bryant to Alabama too. We’re so screwed.

I am done for the day before I get sent to detention for 4 hours again. I am going to check on the cows now. I hope they haven’t gotten out or we won’t even be able to call ourselves a cow college anymore. I guess if we lost the cows we would just be a hole in the fence college or something.

Not to interject fact into a good "sky is falling" thread, but tu and Rice are both sub-.500 in conference right now.

pitching, defense, and timely hitting are great but that .279 average is about .260 untimely.

AggieJamz, I think that was sarcasm aimed at the cow college excuse makers. The reference to the Bear was pretty much a dead give away.

The truth is we arent awful but we arent great either, pardon the analogy but we seem to be the Tech of baseball: lots of good but ultimatley mediocre seasons occasionally teased by getting soo close to a B12 championship only to fall flat on our faces. Im not saying MJ needs to be fired but lets face facts, hes been here 20 years and although hes made us a good team, lets not kid ourselves, judging by our championships won and trips to the CWS we are not very competetive especially to the likes of Rice tu and LSU. If we have another bad B12 season this year, and unfortunatley it looks that way if this sorry lack of production from the bats continues, and then fail to get to regionals, I wouldnt be surprised if we start looking for a replacement. Byrne is about winning and getting away from the old Aggie system of letting coaches stay here forever even if they arent winning. The message from Byrne is clear, you're either taking us to the next level or you're gone, and this will be one of MJs last chances to prove after 20 years that we can start winning the games that really matter and no more "good" seasons were we have no hardware to show for it.
