This season has sucked so far. I hope the pitching keeps us in games like they have so far. I still have fath that the hitting will come around. As of now, I just hope we make a regional. My fingers are crossed though.

This season has sucked so far? We are 19-9 and only 2 weeks into conference. Do you know anything about baseball?

Look at reality, the Ags just are not that great at swinging the bat this season. The team has had their moments, but it has been lacking so far. Being 2-4 in conference so far isn't such a great start...especially since Baylor and tu have yet to be played.

The Ags are not a bad team, they are just not fitting the hype they were getting at the beginning of the season...and a lot of people bought into that. I still believe this team will make the post season.

If we can win enough games to get into the NCAA tournament (which I'd say is better than 50/50 right now), we'll be a dangerous team in a regional where pitching is at a premium. If we win enough games to host a regional (need to finish in top 3 in conference, probably, and top 16-20 RPI--I'd only give us a 10% of that happening), then I'd like our chances to make a super regional, but that's as far as I can see a team with a puny offense going.

everybody relax, this is just the kind of season like RC's last, like Watkins' last.

being .500 in baseball compared to football and basketball is not the same

RC was a D-Long overtime interception vs. mizzouri away from being over .500 in his final season. Im not sellin out on MJ yet, but I am still waiting for him to impress me.

Do you? Because if so you should realize that a team that simply cannot hit the ball will not win many games, espicially in college baseball. How many more Big 12 series is it going to take for people to realize this?

Honestly I think we should... he has been here over 20 year, and made A&M a baseball school, he is AGGIE BASEBALL... I think Byrne should let him retre, I am sure MJ will decide to soon... he Has been at his job for 20 + years now and has done a very good job IMO. Hell we are giving Gillipse a raise and we only went to the NIT and Gave Fran one after we got blown out in the Cotton Bowl... so lets say Fran has a bad season this year, do we let him go???

It's been a while since the baseball team has done anything to get really excited about, other than the win over Rice last year. The future doesn't look so great either. Pennington and the freshman pitchers appear to be the only real sparks on this team. When Pennington takes his talent to the next level, I am afraid that we could be in for another stretch like 2000-2002, when we also had an abundance of pitchers, but couldn't hit a lick.

are you serious?? give MJ a raise? BG brought our basketball program to heights not reached in over a decade in just ONE season..HE DESERVES A RAISE, Fran is trying to rebuild RC's mess and in just his second season took us tp the cotton bowl..HE DESERVES A RAISE...Those two coaches have elevated our programs in a very short time frame and Johnson has been underachieving for a decade.

the future in Basketball and football is so bright and both Gillispie and Fran have elevated those programs..thats why they get the raises.

beatthehell...you might be satisfied with our baseball program doing pretty much nothing over the last 5 years and underachieving for the last 2 decades...but some of us know that there is no reason why A&M should not be an elite program and a frequent visitor to Omaha..not just make a suprising trip every 9 years or so!!
