It hurts to see it end, but thanks for a great season. Lots of grit and battle from a group of guys that could have laid down after the way things went last season. Proud of the boys that stuck around through the turmoil of the last couple years and gave this program their all to get it back on track. Looking forward to seeing us rebuild and get back at it next season!

For the cliff jumpers, feel free to ignore this thread. I don't post here much, but as a lifelong baseball fan I'll always appreciate watching the Maroon and White give it their all on the diamond.

Thank you to Early and the team.

Looking forward to next year.

Ignore the idiots on here.
I don’t get enough credit for the things I manage not to say.

It was a good/great season. Ended with a whimper which hurts but we just got stretched too thin at the wrong time and the bats went cold in THE two games you can't screw up. Doesn't dismiss all the work they did to get there though. Nor will I.

Roster turnover is going to suck too. I grow to love these dudes as they battle from opening day. Going to be a big one this offseason too.

Some good times this season. Countdown thread tomorrow will be so bittersweet.

Many thanks to the entire baseball team for being such an inspiration to my sons *and* daughters as you demonstrate maturity, poise, and fortitude in the face of success and adversity!

Had a great conversation with my oldest son after the game that switched on several lightbulbs as he figures out the capricious game of baseball.

We wish the best adventure ahead for the draft picks/graduates, and look forward to next season with our underclassmen!!

This team fought through a lot. Proud of the effort despite them not reaching the goal of making it back to Omaha. There are lots of truly great Aggies that I will cheer for no matter were they end up going in the future.

Oh and thanks for sweeping the series vs t.u. Let's do that again in Austin next year AND make it to Omaha!

Best part about Aggie baseball was the bonding time with my oldest (7). Sad it is over but glad we had some good kids to root for while it lasted.

Absolutely! Love this thread way more than the fire Earley thread. Some miserable, petulant children on the other thread. Loved this team and the fight. Looking forward to next season and seeing who we can get in the portal!!!

Words do not adequately convey how much joy these young men brought to my family and numerous fans this year. Rising above ALL the negativity sent by faceless keyboard coaches/critics/bullies, you played as a team. You supported each other. You had fun. You played your hearts out. You demonstrated the Aggie Core Values in everything you did. Losing hurts y'all more than us. Know that we THANK ALL of you. May God Bless and Gig'Em

Had a bunch of life happen this summer and missed how that came about. Still not sure the circumstances really. Was he just granted his playing time from the NCAA and he came back to us and that was that?

Either way, was glad to see him back in the Maroon and White. I know how much that meant to him.

It was very quiet compared to other student athletes, but they basically made it a Diego Pavia case, is my understanding.

It was fun watching the team this year. Some highs, some lows, but always responding well after the lows. Going to miss our seniors and draftees. Thanks for your time with the program! Go do great things!

I enjoyed watching this team achieve a pretty heck of a season (and was unable to watch the regional so that helps me reflect on the whole season).

IMO humble little opinion, seems like the team just ran out of gas. But they deserve recognition for putting together a solid product for Ags to enjoy this Spring and into early Summer, though I want Earley summer to last a few more weeks next year.

I think it was a very good year, and I love this thread more than fire Michael Earley threads. Yes, it was very frustrating how USC outscored us in games 6 and 7 by a combined score of 21-4 to get ousted from our own regional just 15 days after the softball team suffered the exact same fate at home. But we exceeded expectations by finishing with a 41-16 overall and 18-11 in SEC play for 3rd in the SEC and hosting a regional a year after finishing 30-26 overall and 11-18 in SEC play for 14th in the SEC and missing the tournament.

Thanks for the great memories. Me and Mrs. Derm will miss everyone of the players who leave. Special, special guys.

Ignore the idiots on here.

They're easy to ignore. They only show up around the post season to see what's in it for them. Then complain about stuff they know very little about.

Thanks boys! Had a blast watching those Fightin' Texas Ags. I wish all of those exiting the progrum an amazing life, and career, wherever they should land. BTHO LIFE! and see the rest next year! Gig 'em!!
