Hard to believe there are only 3 regular season series remaining. Where does the time go?
Doesn't get any easier for the Ags from here but the mission remains the same:

So in a perfect world tu loses every contest they engage for the rest of eternity, but....

Is the ideal outcome of the sips vs State series a 2-1 tu victory? Since we already own the tie breaker over them, it seems that we would prefer them to win, but not to win much.

Yes, ideal is tu never wins a game again, and just shuts the school down completely or gets melted off the face of the earth.

Reality here in April 2026 - we want as much separation as possible between us at 2 and the rest of the league. That means no sweeps, and I would tend to agree tu winning 2-1 since we already own the h2h there is maybe most beneficial.

But I won't be rooting for that. I'm rooting for us to win and them to lose so this becomes a "moo" point.

And I agree; I will be cheering for as much separation as possible between us at 2 and the rest of the field AND t.u. to lose every game.

the Auburn Tigers are in town for a series at Blue Bell Park...

and there's not too much history of note between the two programs.

the Ags have won the last 2 series: 2023 at Auburn and 2024 at Blue Bell (sweep). Auburn won the series at BBP in 2022. The teams did not play last year.

there have only been 2 sweeps. Both by A&M at Blue Bell in 2015 & 2024

Hopefully Jomboy is on it.

I was rooting for extra innings but it was a fun game nonetheless. Tied at 4 in the 9th, Vandy gets a little traffic but nothing across. First batter for Bama in the bottom of the 9th goes yard.

Vandy is now 10-13, 68 in RPI with one game left in Tuscaloosa, then a road trip to Mizzou and a home series against USC. Getting to 15-15 is still feasible (probably need to win tomorrow as I don't think they can count on sweeping both remaining opponents), but the RPI is likely to be 50 or higher. That 19 year streak of tournament appearances is very much in danger.

Miss St and tu are #3 & #4. Miss state winning the series 2-1 would be more ideal to give us room.

We are realistic that Mizzou wont sweep.

Only sweep we want this week is us!

Clanga 2-1 series win would be ideal

Vandy has kinda fallen off the face. Really needed at least one more win out of them last weekend and yeah, they may miss the tourney altogether. But have to say the prospect of June baseball with no whistler does not disappoint me
