First, we should say congrats. They did in fact win the series at Olsen. They deserve to be #1 in the SEC. Period.

But most discussions talk about how easy their remaining schedule is to clinch the title.

Georgia is sitting at 19th in RPI. Not great. But good. But according to Warren Nolan, they are expected to 9-0 sweep LSU, Mizz and @Auburn. (https://www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2026/team-sheet-predict?team=Georgia)

If this is true, LSU @ Georgia is considered Q3 wins (orgerongeauxtigahs.gif).

AAAAaaaannnnnddd worse, Mizz @ Georgia is considered Q4 wins (liottacryinglaughing.gif). And those wins are statistically less impressive than beating the University of South Carolina Upstate. Mizzou should just burn down their program and start over.

With a 9-0 sweep of the remaining games, the RPI "boost" only jumps them to #16.

There is a solid chance UGA @ Auburn is not a sweep. In fact, smart money would be to bet against it. Auburn is dangerous and for some reason UGA really struggles in G1, Tennessee, Florida, Arky, and OM have all taken G1 in those series. Whats even more baffling, and what is hurting UGA in the RPI is that they keep faltering in mid-week OOC games. Losing to Troy, W Carolina, Kennesaw St, not to mention being run-ruled by Georgia Tech, which is ranked #3 nationally so not soo terrible.

But what it does tell us is that their bullpen has major flaws. They will certainly host a regional. But I have a sneaking suspicion Dawg fans will need to buy a ticket to the infamous game 7 of the format, having to crawl out of the losers' bracket.

At 12-9, Auburn still has a chance to win the title. I would say their odds of sweeping UGA at home are as good as the reverse happening.

Its worth mentioning the run rule GT game was called after 7, so it wasnt some late runs.

This tells me UGA really only has 2.5 starters in any given 4 game stretch. We might not be any better in that regard, and like UGA we can tack up a ton of runs to mask it.

If they go 9-0 in the final 3 weekends. They deserve to be one of the top national seeds. I don't care who you're playing in the SEC, that's a tough ask.

100%

Georgia and Ags appear to be the top tier teams with a gap from 3rd. This could all change next weekend but if the trend continues hard to argue against.

Be nice for Ags to win SEC, especially for Earley. But let's just get a #8 seed or better. Could care less about anything else.

I personally wouldn't want to face GA again unless it is for the Natty. No telling who would win that series today.

I have watched Georgia a lot this year. They run out of pitching very quickly.

Finish 9-0 to go 24-6 in SEC = Top 1 or 2 seed!

This ranks right up there with the Warren Buffet bracket challenge. You hear people talking about it and it's a dead give away that they know nothing about sports. At least 9-0 is possible.
