The former Aggie catcher is batting .449 with 11 bombs for the Shockers. I think the guy hit 2 total bombs in two years here. Glad to see him have success.

Big fan. You could tell he was a good baseball player. Competed hard and played a fine catcher. Was just so young playing in the hardest league. Not surprised he's crushing it now that he is the older guy.

I will always appreciate it because it was best for him to stay in HS. He came in December and started catching for us in January. That would be different for anyone to adjust to college pitching in 4-6 weeks.

It was pretty clear when he was here that he would become a stud. Unfortunately, the current collegiate climate does not allow for that to happen anymore. Power teams have to go and get better current guys in the portal.

Just my own speculation but he didn't have a lot of playing time on a South Carolina team that was very down. That was going to continue this year, as SC still has a great starting catcher in his fifth year now. Looks like it might be another down year for them as well.
