Probably get some hate for this but does anyone question Earley's maturity?

He more often acts like a baseball player rather than a HC. Understandable considering his experience level as a coach. But also makes me question if he can make the best decisions when emotions are high....like Omaha.

Screaming F bombs across the field at opposing players and coaches. Just not a good look if you ask me. I do hope Earley works out but concerned he isn't mature enough as a person to be a SEC HC and leader of young men.

I prefer the attitude of " Act like you have been there before..."

Oklahomas baseball coach is 59 years old and was doing the same exact thing.

Absolutely he was. They started the yelling after Earley tossed the bat back towards their dugout. Did you see that the bat almost ended up in our dugout… hence the reason the Oklahoma Players EJection?

Earley didn't toss the bat back toward the OU dugout. He tossed the bat behind home plate. I'm not criticizing him for this...just pointing out that Earley clearly tossed the bat more toward the backstop behind the home plate ump than he did toward OU's dugout. Again...I'm not knocking Earley for it...just clarifying what happened.

Yes you are correct… i guess what I'm saying is when he tossed the bat and said here fetch… I wasn't meaning he tried hurling at them. Just back the general direction. There was a reason their camera crew didn't give you more than the one angle. They showed it one time from a zoomed out view then never went back to that angle. The kid wouldn't have been ejected if it wasn't egregious

And I am defending Earley lol no one cared about Vitello when we were trying to poach him from TENN

I thought all coaches were just immature kids that refused to grow up and get a real job. I guess my mom was wrong.

You won't have to worry about Early and Omaha in this stint here. I guess that answers your question??

I like a coach who will fight for our team and will do whatever it takes to win. Especially if he wants his team to do the same.

If OU batter didn't want no crap, he shouldn't have started no crap. Right move would have been for OU coach to call his own player out and not "bow up". Earley stood up and was vindicated. He gets some respect from me for that.

Just my opinion.

People are going to keep piling on Early until he has some post season success, but some of it's kind of silly. Last year he won series against Arkansas, UT, and LSU. And immaturity? Come on, he works in a profession where grown men make lots of money playing and coaching baseball.

Short of getting a team deep in the CWS, Earley was destined to fail here no matter if he acted like an immature school boy or a stoic preacher.

It's hard to follow up a coaching legend who took your program to heights it had never come close to before.

LSU wasn't good last season? Arkansas? Tennessee? The most egregious losses in Earley's tenure were the sweep at home by Mizzou, the worse team in the SEC whose only league wins were against A&M. While last season, save for a strong postseason run, would still have been a disappointment, that sweep points more than anything else that he may not be ready to helm a major college baseball program.
