I like it.

Being in the Top 25 is an acknowledgment that we are a viable program.

Being ranked at #25 should fuel the team to excel and be better.

We're not just 'good'.

UCLA coach John Savage, #1 team in the country, is paid $800K and has won the CWS.

If we're going to use preseason rankings as a gauge for a coach"s salary, A&M was last season's preseason #1.

Yes Savage won a CWS in 2013, he also had 3 sub .500 seasons since that Natty. One thing that can be gleaned from last season, Aggie fans have little to no patience for bust seasons. Savage has had some fantastic seasons at UCLA, some truly horrid ones but mostly mixed with meh ones.

Salary is irrelevant. It's what A&M and boosters decided to pay

That said, Mike was promoted for no good reason and flopped in year 1

Similar flop this year and let's hope admin has the sense to move on

The better scenario would be if Mike learns from it, finds his footing, and turns it around
