I get your satire, but he still has not done a phenomenal job this season. Yes - we have some very nice series wins...but we have also crapped the bed way more often than we should have this season. Maybe he'll learn and grow from this, but he has clearly shown more "I'm an over-matched first time head coach" than he should have this season.

Agreed, but if he can finish close to .500 in SEC Play, and maybe make a run in a regional vs an ACC team, it's worth seeing if he can build from there.

This is super harsh on Earley. The team looked awful early in the season but just spent the last 4 weeks winning 3 out of 4 series against teams ranked 1 or 2 when we played them. Also, 3 of those series were on the road.

Not every decision is perfect but there is good progress.

First year as a head coach in the toughest league in college baseball, having to step in and replace a top 3 coach in college baseball...I would say he is starting to figure it out pretty dang well... Was it ugly at first, no doubt, what first year head coach doesn't go through ugly.....

Agreed. If anything, him making improvements as a manager in the middle of his 1st season is impressing.

Nonetheless beating UT and Arky on the road and now LSU.

Beating Vitello, Van Horn, and Jay Johnson in year 1
