It's a casual dinner. We host a meal the Friday night of football home games. Started about 6 years ago and we love it.

Anyone know if they were signing autographs at the HCU exhibition one? My kids would love to go but unsure if we'd make it in time getting out of school and being there at 6

You can pretty much always get autographs by standing outside the west side of Olsen after any game. Either by the doors to the locker room or the gate next to the batting cages.

My husband and I will be there! Taking the day off work to get there in time. Can't wait!

I live out of state, but I'm currently in the Houston area while I help my elderly parents after my dad's heart attack in July, so...I'm 2 hours away from CS and have to take my dad to a medical appointment Friday afternoon.

I REALLY want to go to this game, but I don't want to drive 4 hours (RT) and not be able to get into the game.

Are (free) tickets being issued to assure one of getting into the game (especially since it's the night before a BIG football game)? or is it first-come first-admitted? and all seats are general admission? or what?

It's general admission. Berm was open for the first one.

What time does it start? Trying to figure out when to show up.

6pm I think, get there around 5 to guarantee yourself a good spot. There was a line to get in an hour before it started for the last one.

Parking advice? WCG? Seems 'normal' parking could be a challenge with football tailgating ramping up Friday.

I don't think they turned anyone away last time. I'd try to get there 30 minutes prior. That said, last time fans were still coming in during the first couple of innings. I think the 6 pm start makes it a little harder so fans arrive later. We got there about 45 minutes to an hour early because I was with my 9 yo and we had the extra time. She wanted to get autographs but the opportunity didn't present itself.

I have no idea if this one will fill up (or fill up faster). It's LSU weekend vs. a top 10 Mizzou weekend on the football side. FWIW, I was able to get a hotel for Friday night only at Century Square before the Mizzou game. I doubt you can do that for LSU. My point being is there is more demand for LSU (especially with the current momentum) and maybe some of that spills over to the baseball game. I imagine (and hope) this fills up. Nothing beats an Aggie Baseball game.

Free admission, no tickets, limited concessions. It's not quite the same atmosphere as a regular game at Blue Bell but it's still awesome. I really, really wish I could go but I have to coach Friday night.

One last thing, the scouts all sat behind home plate b/c they were there early and usually have to sit in the concourse. They had their computers, ipads, etc. There were some empty seats there during the game (We sat in that section). Don't be afraid to go sit in that section. Also, you could stand in the concourse and fill in when people leave early.

Hope he enjoys it. My oldest daughter and I started watching the games last year together and she really fell in love with it. Ended up going to a few regular season games, 2 regionals, 2 super regionals and the CWS finals with her. Without a doubt, my favorite sports season I ever watched. Special times.

We went to the Fri and Sat games against GA last year and had an absolute blast!!!


I heard Gavin was in a wrist cast. Can we expect to see a large amount of starters playing?

I highly doubt we see Prager, and I bet we also go 1 IP/pitcher like we did against HCU.

Other than the ones you mentioned, we got to see all the starters last time out and (almost) the entire bench too!
