If anyone has watched the Texas A&M baseball Instagram video you can see that Schott is wearing 12 on his shorts while everyone else wears their number. All speculation but I believe Schott will wear 12 like most expected

I would have thought Jace, he was the guy that was the most vocal about Early andche's the best player that has ever played here, likely the #1pick. I love Schott but the guy that demands the room when he speaks would be these two (Prager and Jace), but who doesn't love Schott, so i get it.

There are no rules. Schloss said before that he'd like to give it to a player "in his last year at the program." Jace will certainly be in his last year next year. But it doesn't matter because there are no rules. Whoever the team/coaches think deserves it.

The new coaches might not even continue it. Though I think it would be nice to continue.

Those were the days before we started giving the 12 to reward/honor someone. In the old days, we had 1-40, so someone had it every year. But, 2 years ago, the former coach came up with using the number as an honor. Didn't work out for Bost or Targac.

If they represent A&M well, why try to control it? E. Gill King was asked to be available but volunteered to do so. Same for Jackie's kickoff players. I'd like to think the entire student body participates voluntarily by standing, but I happen to remember significant jawing to help people volunteer to stand…

Our recent 12th Man #12 wearers aren't exactly embarrassing…and Coach seems to be a stand up guy…

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm still holding out hope that this tradition dies with the new staff in place.

First, because one of the best things about baseball is that it is the ONLY sport on campus that doesn't try to shoehorn football traditions into it.

Second, has any player over the last several years actually IMPROVED their stats/production after being named '12'?

Comes from family of Aggies, the dude made it a point to say he was staying when our world was on fire, Senior, never had a pitcher 12th man so that would be cool, will be a huge key to our bullpen this year, He has a great story of being at the wrong school (tu) and persevering to get to his dream school (A&M)

Need I say more? Maybe I'm old school, but if there's so many great options, I'm going to pick the guys who never even thought about the transfer portal. Don't want to cause a debate, it's just how I feel.

I love every player on this team, that's just how I feel about the number 12 situation.
