He should be at the top of the list. Along with the FSU HC, the UVA HC. We've had coaches in adulterous affairs before. Don't give me that holier than thou b.s. Nobody is perfect.

Plus I've read that most of what supposedly occurred was later retracted. You dig deep enough you are going to find dirt on every coach out there.

Yeah I don't care about that either. I want to know his reputation with baseball people and players. His on field results are top notch.

Even our old coach praised him in Omaha for getting back with the start they'd had. He'd be a SLAM DUNK baseball coach, and all I want to do is win. I'd love for him to be here.

Schloss has always talked about Sully as knowing how to put together the ideal team with a mix of transfers and HS guys. Word is he is struggling with the NIL $ he'd like to have. Kendall also said he has a very low buyout, but long contract. I would make him say no. I'd also talk to Vitello. He's a bit much to swallow but in maroon and white I think I could handle him.

The Rheinhart family was close friends with the O'sullivans and their children were batboys for the Florida team sometimes.

And how did that approach work out for us this time? Hiring a guy and ignoring his sketchy personal life, because he wins?

Yes, we got to Game 3 of the finals. But, our program is in absolute shambles, and we are a national laughing stock less than 24 hours later. And that questionable coach very possibly cost us our chance at a championship and was actively recruiting our players to our rival while the series was ongoing.

Character matters. That "win at all costs" will only hurt us in the long run. It's been 2 days… have we already forgotten that lesson?

I didn't say that they didn't. I don't know. (also I haven't seen any record that he actually accused her of cheating with him specifically, but they were already separated when all of this went down... which if they got together while separated but not divorced...ehhhhh not great but whatever)

either way, I think they have been through enough that they deserve peace and grace and forgiveness.
If someone had the type of mental issues it takes to plan out murdering your children to get back at your ex..I shudder to think what her homelife was like.

I heard most of this but I'm referring to outside of this. There was consistent noise Schloss was an a-hole when we hired him. It wasn't a specific event but a recurring theme during his career. As has been noted, RC had a rather significant affair but was respected by players and coaches.

Exactly. You guys are looking for a freakin' Saint to coach a baseball team. Again nobody is perfect and after hearing the whole story I have no issue with the man. In the baseball world he is very well respected and thought of. Don't live in a glass house.

I'm not going to say I've got all the details here, but the couple in question were separated and going through a divorce. So, even if O'Sullivan was involved with her at that point in time, I would not hold that against him. Were they involved before then? Maybe you would view it differently.

One thing you should know is that the brother of the husband/murderer was also a nutso convicted murderer. Seems it ran in the family.

When Florida came to Olsen last year, Minde bough the seats right in front of me for the Saturday game (I sit in 103). It was pretty weird seeing her there when I figured out who she was. I am surprised that they haven't already left Gainesville, as you know this has to be a pall hanging over them in a way that it probably wouldn't be if they went elsewhere.

I wouldn't have him at the very top of my list, but I wouldn't hold anything that happened in the past as disqualifying, at least as to what is factually known about the situation.
