Yes. Hopefully admins took notes, become better at decisions and ongoing awareness that there are sharks everywhere and need constant guard. This is a blue blood world and you have to fight everyday to not let a few short term successes leave you feeling fat and happy

What he has done now to our program is unacceptable. How can you let players like Ryan Targac find out via Twitter??? As a human being he is very low, no morals, cheats on wife, flirts with diamond darlings (sick in the head) you can't teach these players to grow as men.

Coaching is not just about winning games. It's about building the culture around your team and helping these guys get to the next level. Putting yourself before a team not only kills the team, but destroys any chances of winning.

Yep. And now that the blue bloods have the new rules set, and NIL programs well funded and operational, it is going to be hard to keep up.

There are only so many truly great "arms" and "bats" every year available but a whole lot of money chasing them. 20+ programs can easily fund a $5M-$7M NIL check for baseball. Not as many at the $12-$15M level.

Hard to think that if Sdao doesn't get hurt that we don't win it. B Mont also was big, but Kent played incredible.

Schloss gave us a look at what winning at the highest level looks like at A&M. He let the coaching world know it's possible, which will attract coaches here for awhile. Yes, it was very worth it. He did in the end leave the perception of A&M baseball in a great place for future hires, which is huge.

Some folks joke that they would trade wrecking their program for a natty.

But I think they would rather be competitive every year with the chance of success than actually killing your program for a few years.

We have as many Baseball trophies as we did when we arrived to AggieLand.

On the surface one could say that because we won so many games, that he left the program better than he found it.

But dig deeper and you have to say that because of the way he handled the end, he left it a lot worse. Our roster is likely to be total overhaul with less than ample time to get the portal fixes.

These people do less with more than any Institution of higher education in the country. Can they overspend? Ask Jimbo's accountant. Can they evaluate coaches? See Fran. The Admin names change but the results don't. Expecting them to competently deal with the malignant entity 90 miles west is a fantasy.

They never have an actual thought out plan beyond, hire somebody now and let them drive the ship now. They feel they have no other responsibility than that. Just bad leadership and management with no vision beyond an initial hire or any adapting during the journey.

The administration had nothing to do with this. If they knew (they did) that Schloss was a POS and wouldn't be here long term, they did the right thing and let him walk. Now they need to do a full investigation to determine if he tampered with players and the choices they will face.

No. We would have made it to Omaha at least once in the past 3 years if we had hired somebody else.

Unless we had beat Tennessee Monday and brought home that trophy … nothing he did was worth it.

Winning in Omaha and taking us to the Men's College World Series championship finals was a pyrrhic victory for Texas A&M. It would have been better for our team to have been swept 0-2 and a barbeque so the sips hiring Schloss could have happened sooner and we could have hired a new coach and coaching staff in time to get quality transfers from the portal.

I'd have rather lost in the regionals than allow someone to disrespect and embarrass my university like this.

When Tennessee got Kiffined, they went through Derek Dooley, Jim Chaney, Butch Jones, Brady Hoke, Jeremy Pruitt, and over a decade of complete irrelevancy before the ship got righted.
Hopefully, the Portal and NIL allows A&M to fix it much faster.

Best coach we've ever had in baseball by far and showed how quickly and how good this program can be. He raised the bar and expectation. How can you not see how that helps us?

The amount of spite money about to be thrown in the air like the donors don't care might make this a turning point in college baseball history.

keep in mind that roster turnover in college baseball is enormous now

only 4 players from A&M's 2022 team...also played on the 2024 team

so while 2025 could be a down year...a new coach can have a great roster by 2026

Yes, it was worth it. Our program and school are in a different place now than years past. We'll be fine - give it time.

CFB has a bigger team and more difficult transfer rules (during the Dooley period) than current baseball rules.

Any team can turn it around in 2 years with a decent coach and good transfers.
