I suspect Texas will hard sell and cherry pick current players. I don't blame any of them going into the portal. Id absolutely advise my son to do the same.

Posting that here will not help much....as there are so many across many platforms that don't even come to Texags. X is full of opinionated folks who have over-reacted (not saying one can't be mad), but will definitely attack as they are very emotional on the topic.

think tu brass and schloss know this in today's age and even have plenty of tu garbage posters out there stoking the fire and purposely making it worse by the hour. It's negative mktg and recruiting tactics in today's world.

We may have issues not only holding onto players (NIL speaks volume unfortunately), coaching relationship (Weiner cemented a bond w pitchers), HS kids committed to a coach to get them to MLB, etc., but finding a coach fast enough that will attract current roster, HS commits and find other transfer portal.

It's clear the admin may have screwed up by not being prepared when maybe this was obvious (we'll see), but might not have oppty. to fill the roster with portal at this stage (new coach will have lots of work during the offseason).

Trev is on the clock. Find a coach, a good coach and quick. Portal closes in a week.

As hard as this hurts the people in the stands, I can't even estimate how much of a multiplier it adds to the young men in the dugout, especially in the manner it happened and so close to a very emotional time in their lives.

Feel free to gripe on here, but do not go and personally attack them on socials. They have to do what they feel is best for them and it is likely to be a hard decision. A lot of our players probably came here for one or more of the coaches or built a relationship while here. I will be sad, but would not blame them for choosing someone they know over some unknown when they have very little time to make that choice and emotions are running high.

Based on news, he's been on the clock for more than 24 hours.

For me, it's going to depend on which ones. I'm also watching a few parents.

They have the time to make a decision. The portal closing only means they can't enter it.

If they actually sign over there, then they are free game. However, some maybe entering the portal to keep their options open until a new staff is hired. Like Trouble said - PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AND DON'T BURN BRIDGES YET.

100%. We would all do the same if in their seats. Many of them have millions on the line in their future.

BUT if any follow that POS to tu, then it's war on each of those that do. They deserve the wrath that will come at them.

Don't attack anyone unless they commit to tu and the lying traitor. Right now, rally behind guys like Stewart and Sdao who are reaffirming their commitment to this great university.
