Even if it is barely credible rumor(from D1) this is a perfect distraction for the UT fans and players going into the final game. I want their pitchers and batters fretting over the portal and NIL while we're dialed in on winning the whole d*mn thing. This could be the nicest thing the sips have ever done for us.

It's a done deal. Buddy of mine is friends with one of the coaches in the TN athletic dept and he told him that tu was going to fire pierce and announce the vitello hiring tomorrow.

I read on the whorn website that Vitello has agreed to leave Tennessee Baseball to become head of security at the DF encampment. All indications point to it being true. I read an article saying that, "Texas is Texas and Austin is Austin" essentially saying that if they want it to happen, it happens. So.... They REALLY want Vitello as their head of security. Not a done deal yet, but expect a press conference around 7:30 EST (middle of the 2nd inning of the MCWS Championship Game) tonight announcing it.

I would be surprised if a rumor like that could distract players from focusing on one of their biggest goals. For sure when you consider there is a portal these days

I just heard him say that he will ALWAYS be coaching for the orange and white!
