What a jack ass
The hate for Vitello on this Board reminds me of the hate for Mike Leach when Texas Tech was beating us.Johnsy3 said:
There's a reason his teams haven't won it all despite being heavy favorites or at least crazy talented - no composure from the top down

He is who he is: a complete jackass and a hell of a college baseball coach. Hiring complete jackass Frank Anderson as his pitching coach gives them the award for most jackasses on a college coaching staff.
He got his desired result with the ump and zone, and Ag fans end up with the vapors.Lance Uppercut said:
I'll preface this by saying it isn't why we lost...they earned their runs and we made a number of mistakes...
But the antics in the first about the strike zone were undoubtedly part of the Tennessee strategy. Anderson and Vitello have been around enough baseball to know that the pitches they were throwing dirt over are not strikes. And then we got a wide outside corner for the rest of the game. Their pitchers effectively lived out there to start and end counts the rest of the game.
The patience at the plate is one of our strengths, and you can't play that to your liking with the strike zone that was established at that point. They got what they wanted from their outburst, and the umpire wasn't willing to eject either of them for something that could have easily warranted as much.
They'll try it again tomorrow. I guess we'll see if the home plate ump is willing to put up with them again.
