They do this all the time. It doesn't have a single impact on the outcome.

The problem is we pay to use that app to watch Aggie baseball. Great thing. The app sucks.

They could have been coy and witty without actually talking about it, but I guess that isn't in their repertoire.

I bet it was a sip that is in charge of sending out the notifications!

They do it all the time. I'm sure whoever the geek is that sends the alerts has no idea you don't talk about no nos when they are in progress.

I don't remember who the pitcher was, but I remember reading an interview with someone after they got a no hitter. The interviewer asked when he knew he had something special going on. The pitcher said he didn't realize he had a no hitter going until he tried to ask a question in the dugout and no one would speak to him. I thought that was kind of funny.

1. The app is non-funtional at critical times for Ags (no clue if that is global or not, and

2. The A&M games are mysteriously hidden and s search is required.

Yiu can't mark favorite diamond sport teams which makes it harder to show you your games. Internet handling if ampersand is also very confusing to search engines and the some treat & as a logical comparison operator. But usually "Texas A and M" brings up a list with our games in it. Still horrible but it's repeatable so decent workaround.

I don't feel like typing that much. ESPN has sooo many things wrong with it.

As for the broadcast talking about it, that's very normal for a nationwide broadcast, if it is the home team
broadcast that is obviously something they try to avoid talking about

Andrew and Scott on the A&M radio broadcast did not even hint at it.

Is this the first nationally broadcast baseball game you've ever watched? ESPN talks about no-hitters as they happen all the time, and they have for as long as I can remember. Local guys don't talk about it, but ESPN and FOX national games always do while it's happening.

Yes, it's blasphemous to taunt karma like that, but that hasn't stopped them in a long time.

The worst jinx of the night, that didn't play out thankfully, was with two outs in the ninth the announcer said "so what do you think about Florida Kentucky tomorrow". Just no.

For some reason in recent years sportscasters have been just coming right out and talking about no-hitter bids. Used to people had enough sense not to mention it.

I have seen completed no hitters where the broadcasters had been talking about it since the 5th inning.

Since espn is supposedly neutral I guess they feel

In progress should be automatically dismissed . Ditto any bb poster. You can dance around it but not directly say it… for example … there have been 7 hits in tonight's game so far. The Aggies have 7 hits tonight. That's ok
Imo. You cannot say, Praeger has thrown a no hitter tonight through 6-1/3 innings.

I usually use our opponents name as a result.

Look it's baseball and there are certain things that make baseball unique. Being mum or beating around the bush about an in progress no hitter is one of those things. I do t care if the broadcast is unbiased, follow along with the cliche "rules".

I don't mind Peterson that called the game tonight but I can't stand Ravech or Perez, they annoy me every time they call College Baseball, they should stick to the MLB, all they know about College is who the top 25 draft prospects are, they don't call any games throughout the season so why should they get to call the games on the biggest stage and sound like bumbling morons through most of it.

There are so many things wrong with ESPN as a network that this doesn't even make the top ten.

Absolutely! Trade Mike Rooney for Perez, and, well, anybody who regularly does college baseball PBP for Ravech.

Its really cool when a no-hitter happens because you know that no one watching the game (announcers, in the stands, on TV, the players) - NO ONE mentioned it. Pretty wild when you think about it.
