How is it that a university such as Texas A&M can't (or doesn't) have a reliable radio streaming option? Both the 12thMan website and The Varsity Network (apps and webpages) might play for 2 minutes or might play for 20 minutes, but rest assured it's going to stop a dozen times during an event and make things almost unlistenable.

No, they're both s***.

I've been going to radioaggieland.com on a browser and listening to KZNE that way. I don't have an app installed.

I can remember plugging my laptop into a landline phone plug in a remote village in Trinidad in 2004 and listening to Aggie Baseball stream. The tech these days is ridiculously unreliable. The Varsity app on my phone rarely moves past the 30 second ad. When it does, it buffers and stops. 5G signal with all bars.

i was streaming on sirus and it had issues. Maybe the problem was at the stadium

No, this has been the issue in every baseball, softball, and football game I try to listen to on these services.

Yep. I stated the same thing back in Feb.

For being the pioneer of live sports play-by-play broadcasts, we've really fallen off.

I can listen to all Aggie sports with no issues here in the Ft Worth area, and when connected to my truck I can drive across Texas without missing a play

3rd year now. Billion dollar athletic department and can't listen to a full game ever. The transmissions suck!

Any Aggie game carried over regular radio can usually be found on one of these stations. No need for an app all though I think one is available..

I thought radioaggieland got blacked out for games.

I've never had a problem.

When I hear about stuff like that why is my first thought that Levy and a high-ranking university person has money invested.?



PS I gave up on listening to Aggie sports on radio, since Mike Mistovich broadcast all sports on KORA AM.(BTW for you newbies, that was in the 1970's).

Sirius XM is pretty reliable when we're on it.

Usually have the Aggie broadcast, too.

I have some great memories of listening to Dave in a pickle harvester in Indiana.

That sounds like a midwest sex shop if I've ever heard of one.

It has nothing to do with internet speed. The platform is just intermittently broken. You never know if it's going to work, crap out or will tell you that I your game hasn't started when it absolutely has. The only thing less reliable is ESPN+ horse hockey

Dave was broadcasting from a pickle harvester?? Man, that's crazy.

I use a free app called "Radio Garden" that has a map of the entire world, including College Station, so that you can point at stations from all over and listen to what is being played there.

1150 the zone has phone app
WTAW has phone app
literally 1 tap.. and I'm listening
geez

now when i was a kid... you had to scroll the dial on a old phillips radio that was near as big as the TV lol.
( I raised holy hell too back then)

Oh I thought it was just me.

I've had more luck going directly to the 1150 website and clicking the listen live button. Not sure if softball is on mainstream radio, though, or just streaming.

ESPN+ is the greatest thing ever for college baseball and basketball fans.

I'll be listening to the radio and watching on mute today. The pro-sip PBP dude is a lot too much to take even with Amanda in the booth.
