He'd gone 5.2 innings of really solid pitching. He got a ground ball to third that the runner beat out by half a step, and that was apparently enough to get him pulled. I trust Schloss, don't get me wrong, but I totally believe Prager should've remained in the game. Ever since he locked in in the third inning, he'd looked really sharp. And I definitely didn't like bringing Aschenbeck in there in what was a pretty low leverage situation. I never felt good that he was gonna pick up a 10 out save tonight.
Of course, our hitting and fielding were bigger issues tonight, but I think we should've let Prager go into the seventh, at least.
