What did y'all think of pulling Prager when we did?

He'd gone 5.2 innings of really solid pitching. He got a ground ball to third that the runner beat out by half a step, and that was apparently enough to get him pulled. I trust Schloss, don't get me wrong, but I totally believe Prager should've remained in the game. Ever since he locked in in the third inning, he'd looked really sharp. And I definitely didn't like bringing Aschenbeck in there in what was a pretty low leverage situation. I never felt good that he was gonna pick up a 10 out save tonight.

Of course, our hitting and fielding were bigger issues tonight, but I think we should've let Prager go into the seventh, at least.

The Ags lose but I can see the reasoning
Use Ash to try and get the Friday win still have him available for Sunday
3rd time through the order is usually when hitters start seeing the ball better
I am guessing he did not pitch against Rice It is possible for relievers to be " too rested "
And it almost worked a couple more plays and the Ags win a close game on Friday instead of losing it.

Should have left him in. Same as last week against lsu.

I'm fine with the move. Schloss plays to win.

Asch missed his spot on an 0-2 count to give up a lead off single. And then a bad pick off throw that gave that same guy two free bases. No one saw that one happening and that's how they got the lead.

Our bats lost this game. Not pitching.

Good move by Schloss. Prager had been uncharacteristically struggling for the first three innings. He appeared to be improving but my guess is the manager felt this is a good time to go to one of the best bullpen guys in the league. It didn't work out but that's baseball.

We needed some of the Big Boppers to unleash the long ball, but it just didn't happen.

This game meant a lot more to Ole Miss. They are fighting for a spot in the final 64. We are going to host.

Relax, we got this.

This X100

Specifically the top of our order (GG, Jace, Monty). Last 4 SEC games, they are a combined 11-55 (.200) with 27 Ks.

Last night, combined 1-13 (.076) with 6 Ks.

Not going to win many SEC games with those 3 guys slumping at the same time.....

I didn't like the move of going to Ash in the 6th. It's like we are asking him to be a middle reliever, set up man, and also a closer.

I didn't like it there simply because I didn't see EA finishing the game there. 3.2 probably burns him for the weekend. Ryan didn't seem to be laboring and it wasn't a high leverage situation in my opinion.

If we wanted a change I'd rather have gone to Rudis or Stewart. It was middle-lower part of the order, not Fischer coming to the plate.

Personally I thought he pulled him too early. I don't think it was the reason we lost, but looked like prager could go a few more

100% this!!
If you told me OM was going to score 4, I would have said we win by 5.

That's baseball, let's see what the men do tonight, they're getting a converted reliever tonight. I fully expect a completely different outcome!! Let's Go!!

Baseball would be a completely different game if we were allowed to go back in time and make different choices.

We can't. Stuff like this happens.
