Can someone post video of the play in which Sorrell hosed the hitter who was trying to stretch a single into a double? I was doing yard work and listening, but I'd like to see it.

That was some stupid baserunning I think Sorrell just lobbed it back in he was out by 20 feet.

I mean... Nothing against 13 but that's not Sorrell hosing anyone. Heck, he didn't really even lean into that throw. That's just idiotic base running.

Hosed. Oh you mean the throw that was bounced into 2b when he could have punted the ball in and still got the runner out? That one?

Just having fun with you man. LOL

That "Ooohhhhhhh" @ 11 seconds is so satisfying.

The scene should have panned to the first base coach to capture his expression.

That play at second base is much closer than most people realize.
Yes the ball was there in plenty of time.
However, go back and take a look at the tag in slow motion and the tag was high on the body instead of staying low at the bag.
The runners foot hits the bag just about the time the tag is made on the upper body.
At least that's how it appears from the angle of the video.
The umpire is an excellent position though to make the call.

Kent had already swiped low and had to swipe again to apply the tag.

Probably due to the runner's cleats popping up at him.
But what else do you expect from a man named Talmadge?

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw it.

I honestly thought he was safe in real time. I think Kent (?) thought he was just going to give up and was surprised by the late slide.
