He's been doing it all year. I thought that's the way the guy's name was pronounced until I looked it up and heard him pronounce it himself on the roster pronunciation guide!!!!

Bad my eve

It's not that difficult.

Zane's A Bad Man is easier though

Sentence Will to repeating his name out loud with the player until the player approves…

Or go hear and click on the ear…

I just went and on the pronunciation guide it says "Bud-MIVE". And what he says sounds like "bud-Mive" too... so... I think Will's got it right.

Can we get everyone to agree on Camarillo too? Monaco pronounces it "Cah-mah-dee-oh" and everyone else pronounces it "Cah-mah-ree-yo" which is how its shown on the team site

Andrew is rolling the R. Listen to the way Ali pronounces it on the roster site. It sounds more like that than "ree".

Bunch of pronunciation Nazis. . That being said, it is important for our announcers to pronounce the names of our players correctly.

As someone who has had his last name pronounced a number of different ways, it matters.

Pay no attention to Will. He's a psy-op implanted by the University to drive in person attendance so you don't have to listen to him call a game.

(This is the only reason I can think of as to why he's been around so long).

But on the Tarleton site, the pronunciation is "bad my eve" which is the only way I've ever heard it in person. Someone should ask Zane.

It's in his own voice on the pronunciation guide where it says "hear it"

I think it is technically bud MY ev if you listen closely.

The Tarleton website has someone else saying it. Our website has Zane saying it himself, so I'm gonna' trust that.

I don't think it's being a Nazi to want to pronounce someone's name correctly.

I may be behind on baseball terms, but I also find it weird when he describes pop-flies as being "fisted into right field"

He's trying to express that the batter caught the ball with the part of the bat near their hands

I understand what he's trying to say, I just think it's funny. And when the whole sentence is "Butt-mive fists this one into right field" you've got an interesting turn of phrase.

That description or variations of it have been around baseball a long time. Marksman is right about what he is referring to. Some will just say off the hands. We used to call them Uncle Fisters. Lol.

Of course Butt-mive is a new one.

He'll drop it soon enough. He probably just learned it this season and he will run it into the ground like everything new to him that he uses.
