What is the game plan for this? Braden is obviously fine, but does Schloss and the team have to show that they have Braden's back by hitting an ASU batter tomorrow?

What I hope happens is that Braden tells Schloss and the team that that's unnecessary, let's just go beat their ass.

But you have to do what's best for your clubhouse, and that may mean that an ASU guy must be hit.

I hope not, it's risky and could distract from the winning ways. I would love to hear some feedback from someone who played in college and has experience dealing with this.

You plunk them at some point. Whatever or whenever they think appropriate situation.

I personally don't like revenge plunks. I think the best revenge is just to beat the pants off of them the old fashioned way.

Our pitchers find a way to hit batters every game already. Who's to say if we hit them tomorrow its in retaliation?

I dunno. Normally I say "Just go beat them" But that was pretty egregious to hit him high twice.

Plus they've already shown what they will resort to and at some point you have to protect your team.

Get a 5+ run lead and plunk their best hitter in the 8th or 9th.

This is the way. Or a stray check to first that somehow finds their head coach.

It's bad blood for sure. I'd have them play with some fire but we can't drill the pitcher so unless we have another one of their players being dirty, nothing happens.

Best option: Braden goes yard again and bat flips into ASU dugout then cartwheels around the bases.

won't plunk anyone… if it was an SEC team, then yes… if we were going to see them again, then yes… but none of that applies, so we won't do anything.

This is pretty simple. Montgomery hits a grand slam in the third to put us up 12-0, rounds the bases, steps on home plate and rips off his jersey to reveal an undershirt with a giant red bullseye painted on the back. Stands there motionless facing the backstop until he's thrown out.

Not sure how this isn't obvious to yall

Pitches an inning. Uncorks the first pitch to the backstop, then is nails for an ABC, Easy as 123! inning.

Is there a game suspension that comes with being ejected? I seem to remember that happening, but maybe that is an SEC rule or just a coach rule. I can't remember.

95% sure you have to sit a game. JB Moss talked today on the broadcast about getting ejected at Pepperdine in 2016 and he had to miss the next game.

I believe that for pitcher it is a 4 game suspension.

Not saying I think it'll happen but, interestingly enough...
with 2 mid-week games if Lamkin gets through 5 with a nice lead he could exact retribution, serve his 4 games, and still start as scheduled next Sunday.
