If anyone is planning to go to any I am happy to give suggestions for each place.
And it is never too early. Already have all my rooms.

Doc,
Wife and I thinking about going to the Florida series. What are your suggestions for hotel stay and what section do Ags typically sit in? TIA

Taking the RV...haven't found many great options. Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center is not far from Alex Box and seems like maybe the best choice. Reached out to LSU parking & transit for on campus parking but they can't return a phone call.
Anyway...restaurants and bars for a couple of college buddies in the ealry 50s?

Best bar at Fenway is the one in the outfield that has the garage door open to stadium DURING BATTING PRACTICE. They have to close it before game starts. Best view ever from the men's room too, windows above the urinals!
Went to Fenway and unfortunately missed this experience.TempleAg97 said:oldag76 said:

I second this. One of the most unique experiences of my life.
I'm going to Gainesville and staying at the place derm suggested. If I recall correctly, we've only played at the ballpark once, and that was in 2021 with covid restrictions, so I didn't make the trip, but looking at photos, it seems that the visitors are in the 3rd base dugout. I have purchased tickets in section 114 through Ticketmaster, going through the UF athletics web site (Ticketmaster sells direct and resell, and I bought direct for Friday and Sunday, resale on Saturday).schwertnerag said:

Heard good things about the Gregory.i And even though a chain, Ruth's Chris is the best restaurant in town. This is an exceptional Ruth's Chris.
We stay at the Sonesta ES suites right by the stadium and hang out at Walk Ons which is right there. Park our car and never move it.
And it is not your typical Walk Ons either. Lots of fun. Stay at ES suites, walk to Walk Ons to eat and drink, walke to the Box, walk back to your hotel after the game.GeauxTigerAggie said:dermdoc said:The Chimes and Parrain's.ArlingtonAg2015 said:

I second this post
The chimes has a rooftop bar with a decent view on the north side of campus.
Parrains is not on campus but is an amazing restaurant.
For simplicity, I always recommend the Walk Ons on Burbank. Get some boiled crawfish and walking distance from Alex Box.

We had a room at that Hilton also until I cancelled due to grand daughter's bd. That is total bs. Glad you found a room.twk said:
FYI, anyone else who had reservations at the Hilton mentioned above, I just got a call from them telling me that my reservation was cancelled. Claimed that a computer glitch had allowed me to book when they had already booked the entire hotel a year ago. Not sure I buy that.
At any rate, I looked around and booked at Hotel Elo, next to the hospital. Got a good deal with Expedia. Looked into parking and it appears that there is no reserved parking at Florida; so, if you get there early you can park next to the park.
Yes. It is a lot easier now then when there was no internet and you had to physically call them to reserve and cancel.MR Gadsden said:
Derm, do you just book rooms when the schedule comes out and then cancel if unable to make it?

Derm - my 9 yo boy and I are going thru Columbia, SC and planning on attending the Saturday game and one night's stay: where to eat? where to stay?
He and I have exchanged private messages and I have him set up. We always stay at the downtown Marriott on points. Walking distance to all the good spots to eat and drink.Sea Pony 07 said:CMP-00- said:

Unless the area has cleaned up since i lived there, do not stay by the Lexington medical center or the motel 6 or choice suites off of Two notch road. Its been a few years since I lived there, so that may have changed. For and 3 or diner breakfast, we would go to Lizard Thickets and Grill Mark's down town had good burgers and shakes.

When we were good in basketball, I used to get rooms at all 16 sites. Usually walking distance to the arena.
Now it would just take 16 clicks.

And twk, my consigliere, is our designated driver.
Nice place but I like the Hampton right by all athletic fields and gym.Tanya 93 said:
For the record, if you are ever in CoMo for sports, I love the Stoney Creek Inn. And it is close to campus.
