Looks like 2 seasons to build. Will play and practice at other places.

When we do ours I am assuming phases so we can play.

It's easier for them to move home games elsewhere. West coast fans don't attend games.

I suppose they also have a greater choice of possible venues, being in Los Angeles. That's really a bummer for them... Two whole years away?!

Since only their girlfriends occasionally show up for games, the games will probably be place closer to where they live. USC's campus is in the hood.

Reading between the lines, looks like USC baseball field is getting the A&M indoor track treatment; they are only getting a new facility because football needs the land on which the current facility is located.



Looks like they are adding a second practice field, then eliminating the tennis courts so that the baseball field can be reconstructed, and oriented in a new direction. I'm guessing that the new park won't be much of an improvement on the old one. All this while they are about to start playing Big Ten baseball. Talk about a slide to irrelevance.

Great Park in O.C. is over an hour drive....and they still don't have a softball program.

Florida pulled the same thing.

Now they're 1.6-2 M away from where it was and most of the rest of the athletic facilities.

You are correct. Florida did, however, get a pretty significant upgrade in their baseball facility as a result of the move. I'm doubtful that USC will be able to say the same thing, but we shall see.

They also waited until the new stadium was finished before moving into it and didn't have to spend any time away.
