Looking at the NCAA website, and the "Stanford Regional" is the only one listed by the school, not the city that the school is located in (Auburn and Clemson universities share the name of their city).

Stanford is in Palo Alto. There is no city of Stanford, CA. Unless maybe you work for the Post Office or the Census Bureau.

When we host, it's called the "College Station Regional."

Odd.

According to Google Maps:

Quote:

Stanford is a census-designated place in the northwest corner of Santa Clara County, California, United States. It is the home of Stanford University. The population was 21,150 at the 2020 census. Stanford is an unincorporated area of Santa Clara County and is adjacent to the city of Palo Alto.Wikipedia

I do think that most people, when talking about where Stanford is, will say Palo Alto. But even the football stadium has an official address in Stanford, CA.
