Why do authorities put rules into place? Because they have to. Players and coaches could not adequately self-police and baseball (especially in college) became a nearly unwatchable grind. I'm as much of a baseball purist as there is, but all of this floundering around the mound, stepping out and adjusting batting gloves, and general lollygagging was ruining a beautiful game.

Not a huge fan of it but I will say I haven't seen our catcher crossed up once this year. Not sure if Miss St was using it but their catcher just in our series I saw crossed up twice.Buford T. Justice said:
