Has anyone else seen the bitcoin baseball team in Perth Australia?

They have a very interesting business model. But what interests me the most is that they have created a tipping mechanism where by using a bitcoin\lightning wallet you can tip individual players in real time with almost no fee. Just for fun I sent a small fraction of a BTC to a player that hit a home run there over the weekend. Why couldn't we do something like that for Aggie sports wrapped up in an NIL type program? I'd love have been able to send some sats (smallest denomination of BTC) to Rock or Moss or Moo for individual performances during last year.

Anyone that wants to download a lightning enabled bitcoin wallet the one I'd recommend is called Wallet of Satoshi. I'll send you some sats and you can try out tipping your favorite Perth player until we get something in place for Aggie baseball.

Doesn't meet the NCAA and Texas statutory code limitations…a business has to write a contract for money to be transferred. It can't just be set up. It can't incentivize only coming to Texas A&M. It can't pay for athletic performance. It requires some form of specific performance by the athlete.

Who needs a marketing ploy? I've already watched Korean baseball with cardboard cutouts in the stands.
