We met Mrs. Loux in 2009 because we brought infant Benny on a road trip to Baylor.

NOTE FOR NEW PARENTS
Never think your baby will sleep in a pack n play in a hotel. He spent almost the entire night not crying, but just looking at us thru the pack n play and trying to charm us with adorable smiles.

2010 shows up and he is now walking and saying words. Things like "NO!" Or 'cookie"

Mrs. Loux, Barrett's mom for those not into Aggie Baseball, comes down to see us during a game and gives us this ball she asked Barrett to be signed by the entire 2010 team. If I remember correctly, there are 3 first round picks and several others on there. She also gave us a photo album to put pics of Benny in when he plays baseball, which turned out to be one season of t-ball. He was a soccer dude

But if you think players parents don't pay attention to fans, they do.

The wives of the coaches have ears, too. And, quite often, they have young children with them in the stands. Remember, they don't fill out lineup cards and make substitutions.

Ah Tanya, that's so sweet you remembered me! I know y'all moved away from College Station but still follow Aggie Baseball. We still follow the team at times. Barret has his first child, a girl, due this coming week. And we can't wait to meet her! She already has several Aggie outfits.

You are gonna be a grandma!

Benny is going to be a 7th grader next year. We still have the baseball. You were just so sweet. It honestly was one coolest things ever in Aggie baseball.

The fact he is going to be a daddy makes me giggle.

So

A 7th grader, wow that went by quick! We are fortunate that both our kids are in the Houston area so we get to see them all the time. Barret's wife not only went to A&M, but she was 1 year behind him at his same high school (they never met until 2014).

And more recent... Benny and me in KC on 4/24 of this year. Royals games are LOTS CHEAPER than Cardinals games.

And a HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs Loux for the ball. Benny isn't a much of a sports fan, but he loves that he has that ball. It's a connection to his "Texas roots." He wasn't quite five when we left, so things are very helpful in adding to memories for him.

Hard to believe that it's been 11 years, but I was so happy to learn that Barrett is going to be a dad!!
