Tailgating for Baseball?

My son is a freshman and it was sad to miss out on tailgating last football season. Next weekend's weather looks perfect and I was thinking about heading up for the game. I haven't been to a baseball game in a very long time. Is it unheard of to tailgate before the game (canopy, smoker, etc.)? TYIA

Certainly not unheard of.. however unsure if A&M is allowing tailgates or not for baseball.

Hate for you to roll all your gear out then a parking lot nazi come up and tell you to pack it up.

If you keep it pretty simple, I doubt they'll bother you. I've seen a few people out there this year.

This. Also you'd be limited to Reed, my guess is if you try to park anything on the grass they'd get on you about that. So if it's just tent and grill you'd probable be ok. Might ask in football board what was allowed for football

You can back up & cook on the grass. No using of parking spaces & no canopies

We always just set a few chairs up in the parking lot with a cooler of beer. Of course that was almost 10 years ago...

For football due to covid they didn't want tailgating for football. Now some still did.

In a normal year they'd be tailgating in Reed and also some along the street in Olsen lot.

I called the transportation / parking department over this (per 12th Man Foundation recommendation) and was told tailgating is fine - including grilling. So - I'll be driving up early with my smoker to make smoked queso and fajitas for my crew.

I think the rules for football tailgating were no trailers (including trailered pits) and no tents. I would assume the same rules apply for baseball.
