you know it's been a rather quiet start to the college baseball season after 2 weekends.

on the field it's been the status quo with the favorites / top teams dominating (outside of UNC this weekend and State last weekend). Almost a little boring. Too much chalk.

off the field is where the drama has been with the coach fired for the affair and the "bird" in Baton Rouge. Thank goodness for the SEC --- keeping the sport in the headlines

We are still behind LSU and North Carolina on the Espn ranking so I guess they haven't updated that since the preseason for some reason

If I remember correctly they had us at like 33 preseason so they have moved us up quite a bit in two weeks actually

Update: yes we started at 33 in that poll then went to 25 and now 17...basically every other poll had us as a top 10 team preseason

I was just being snarky...making fun of the whole "ESPN hates us" or "The Dallas Morning News hates us" or "____________ (fill in the blank) hates us" when whatever media outlet doesn't paint A&M in the perfect, cherub-like light.

Well, aren't we almost always lower in CBA than all the other polls? It's not a totally baseless opinion

Other than tech, it looks like CBA hates all Texas teams.

One thing you have to count on, is tu will remain in Kendall's top 25 until they have lost every game on their schedule for at least two weeks.

Right now the rankings are more based on projections than resume, in a few weeks the rankings will reflect resume more than preseason projections....baseball rankings don't mean squat until at least April

Kind of like being ranked number 5 in December for basketball doesn't mean that much either

Sorry for being pedantic but Collegiate baseball is one guy who is basically a fan who has been to Omaha twice and he puts that on his bio. So it isn't a poll and it isn't 'they' and it should be really given no more weight than if a poster on here started his own weekly poll.

Well to be fair it is the longest running college baseball poll so it has some credibility in the industry.

I guess we can debate the credibility but factually it is, by definition, a ranking but not a poll.

if we sweep through the Frisco classic, we could be in the top 5 at 12-0
(assuming we beat Incarnate Word tonight)
