As many of your video where, most teams in the SEC as well as other conferences have baseball-specific logos that they use on a regular basis. A few examples are shown below. As seen, Miami, LSU, Florida, Fullerton, Oregon State, Louisville Mississippi State, FSU, Vanderbilt and South Carolina all have fantastic versions of these.


A&M however is sorely lacking in this department (as well as a few other teams). While I know it's a bit of a long shot, why not incorporate our interlocking A&M introduced in 2001 with the Nike rebrand as our primary baseball logo? Additionally, the SEC Network and ESPN have both used the wordmark version of the logo in their game graphics shown below.


Additionally, I can understand an argument for the spider logo AMC, but I just feel that it's too cluttered to be viable.

So, any thoughts on the matter? Am I dead wrong? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I just figured it was the most baseball-like logo we had already in our arsenal.

I don't like the bevel logo in the first place, but w/ that said, not really a fan of the spider logo in general. I like the old logo despite the school no longer known as A.M.C., however, I think that logo would do better without the C for, you know, #branding.

I really like some of the logos presented, but I'm not sure if there's a good block look that isn't just the standard logo without the bevel. I think a straight up block T bevel-less could suffice.

My only concern with the block T is its association with Texas Baseball.

If we went with a T, I'd use the 50's one we used this year.

I really like the 50s logo. I think a good style for the T would be having a small banner run across the front (similar to NC's state flag, but much simpler) with AGGIES on it. Obviously not for wearing on our caps or uniforms, but I could imagine that running across the video board.

I've had some time to reflect. I'm a personal fan of the interlocking "AM" logo/anything vintage. This also includes the block T. I have no preference either way for the spider logo. A dream of mine has always been that we break out the old AMC logos, even for other sports.

If you want to experiment with different A&M logos, you might be able to get him to send you the "blank" that you can easily superimpose different logos on.

Yes, but each of the individual logos used are actual team-used logos. (I appreciated that he at least kicked the bevel though.)

The spider was the very first logo; either the president t or commandant came from VMI and brought it with him. They still use their original spider logo today.
