Does anyone know if official on-field hats with the CWS patch will be sold? Similar to MLB hats with the World Series patch on them for the participating teams. Looking for one.

If I'm reading the OP right he doesn't want that ugly Omaha Bound hat. He wants the normal Texas A&M hat with a CWS patch on the side. Like this Cubbies hat from the WS.

This is correct. I am looking for the official on field hat. Not the Omaha bound hat.

I don't think they wear the CWS logo on the hats. Only on the sleeve of the jersey.

Great question indeed. In 2011 we wore TAM maroon hats and they had a CWS patch on the side, just like the Cubs hat. If they do that, I do hope the sale those retail. May not though. It's likely they just add the patch to the existing hats they wear. Adi may not be making exclusive On Field fitteds for this.

Ordered 2 of these bad boys about a month ago. Hopefully they'll be here by the end of summer...

I spoke to a person at AO and I think the delivery will be more likely in late Sept or early/mid Oct.

Yup. It's an exact remake. I had to look it up in January when the pics were tweeted out by adi but it's the same. It's an interesting T too. I like the styling and the fact that in 1949-51 someone had the foresight to stylize the Block T. I mean, b4 logos became trademarked property and copyright and infringement was practiced by companies and universities, it almost seemed we'd just plop whatever T or TAM on a hat or shirt and not try very hard to keep things standardized. Would have loved if we had kept that around. Kind of reminds me of the Tulsa Drillers T.

I threw me off too because compared to the ones in the old photos, there seems to be less space between the bottom of the "T" and the base of the bill. Makes the "T" on the new ones look longer.

It's like we have regressed with Adidas. Hardly any good new dri fit stuff from them that looks half way decent ever comes out - short sleeves or polo.

Couldn't disagree more. To each his own but, as a former Nike lover, adi has really done well. Sure, there's a few misses, but Nike had its misses too. I personally think you are in the minorty if you haven't liked what adi has had to offer.

Where can I find some good looking dri fit baseball or basketball gear? Coach's and coordinator polos come out each year but not a whole lot else (and about half of the coach's polos don't look great). A lot of the good looking stuff the team or coaches are wearing never make it to the store.

I normally look at Fanatics.com and Aggieland Outfitters for what it's worth.

Do you ever go into College Station to shop or mostly online. There's a lot of adi baseball tees this year. Maroon U has a lot. AO does too. ***** here in Dallas (Frisco) had a Texas A&M Baseball tee in February and March but they sold out I believe.

As for other baseball gear, the team got new maroon hats this year that adi retail didn't make available. The main difference was that the bevel line on the T of the TAM was a grey/pewter color. The ones retail sales are the hats from '13-16, so good caps. Baseball team also wears a lot of Easton special order items that are not available to fans. The adi pullovers the team has aren't sold either. They are part of adi's baseball team apparel so those usually aren't sold through regular retail. It's mostly the same with Nike too. Most of the apparel providers don't focus on baseball as much. But they are starting to offer more gear, thankfully. Football will always drive the college apparel business, but at least they recognize the need for sport specific things. Another issue is that the retailers are resistant at times to load up their inventory with non football specific apparel b/c they worried it wouldn't sale. But they are starting to come around. Your still going to see puchback with the national boxes and stores like Rally House. The Rally House manager I spoke with back in February said she gets asked about college baseball shirts and hats and has, in her words, begged for some and the owners have not been interested in buying very much for the stores. I have a strong feeling they will get the Omaha A&M, TCU and LSU shirts as Rally House sales all of those teams here in the metroplex.
The baseball team does wear the striped adi polos that both AO and Maroon U sale.

Was in AO this weekend. I don't want a soft t-shirt, I want quality dri-fit.

All of the shirts I saw were climalite Ultimate Ts. Not soft t-shirts as you say but I am assuming when you say "soft" you mean tri-blend shirts. Is that what you mean? Or do you mean the quality of the climalite Ts. B/c I can say that I own both climalite t-shirts and drifit Nike shirts, and there seriously is not difference in quality.

To be honest, this moisture wicking "technology" is just a huge marketing gimmick. High quality cottons and poly/cotton blends continuously test cooler than the 100% poly shirts. Theres a great thread on Premium by an Ag in textiles who breaks the industry down really well. I get the poly shirts b/c they keep their color better than cottons but the really well spun cottons, he said, are actually better in warm temps. The poly shirts feel cooler b/c of the manufacturing process. They are light and flowy so air comes in through the neck and bottom of the shirt, but the quality that makes these shirts moisture wicking actually keeps wind and air from penetrating the materials. Cotton is much better at ventilation. And further, the polyester trend really picked up steam b/c of the high prices of cotton in Asia. Manufacturers needed to cut costs he said and saw the success Under Armour was having, not from actual performance of the materials that made up the clothing but a great marketing/business plan the founder came up with. They saw that as a way o make money on this concept and ran with it. It's all pretty interesting.

Also, get this. Nike, UA and adi many times use the exact same factories to make their shirts and polos. They contract that stuff out. So you literally could be wearing an UA shirt made where they made your Nike shirt too.

Adidas ultimate tees are not what I'm looking for and I can tell a huge difference between those and other higher quality stuff (in terms of how I like them to feel, not disputing what you've said).

I hear ya. That's more of a personal thing for sure. My favorites are the tri-blends and the UA Shocked Cotton. Just really comfortable.

Not sure on this one. Yesterday I was told this may happen. But today I've been told otherwise. Still checking on this tho

We just went through all of the retail tents and I did not see any on field hats with a CWS logo like the OP is looking for

I'm watching the LSU/FSU and neither team has a CWS logo on the side of theirs
