Received an email from TMF to order regional tickets. Very pricey, $75 lower, $60 upper plus $6 inconvenience fees per ticket. Seems like the previous year all-session tickets were about $40 each.

Anyone know if student sports passes are good for admission at regionals?

I know I went to a few of our regional games last year and I think I got in just fine with my sports pass but just making sure.

Don't think sports passes get you into regional games.

Regionals are not run by Aggie Athletics but the NCAA. Sports passes will not work.

Somebody has to step up and buy the tickets for the students.

You can not use sports passes but someone usually sponsors the first X NUMBER of students get in free.

Sports passes are NOT good.

What normally happens is there are donors who donate money to allow a certain number of students attend for free. For the softball regional currently going on it is the first 100 students each day get in free.

So do you just show your ID at the gate or do you have to pick up tickets at the window?

I know last year I got in for free without paying but I don't exactly remember how.

If someone let you in via your sports pass, count yourself lucky because they shouldn't have.

Like with the Softball Regional, they just might have a very limited number of free student tickets, first come first served.

They need additional tarp crew and if you volunteer you get in free but that means getting to Olsen early and staying late.

Because we never do that.

Ordered mine too and got first row! FYI, last year was $55, regardless of lower or upper. Oh well.

Is row 2 lower level obstructed by rail?

Nah. Some seats on row 1 might be.

I figured row 1 might be but couldn't pass that up. Sat first row on the 2nd deck for the Baylor game and couldn't believe how obstructed it was. Still fun though.

205 row 2. Not sure I'll be able to make all games so I'll likely be on here giving stuff away.

I got an email through the 12th Man Foundation so you might check your spam folder. You have to be a TMF member, but season ticket holder isn't required. Here is the link and directions

Is there anyway to walk up and get tickets if I'm not a current student and not TMF? or will the regional/SR be sold out?

I'm assuming you'll be able to walk up and get GA seats day of the game no problem. Not sure where those seats will be though. At worst, you'll be on the berms.

Would not shock me if they don't open up GA all-session presales and maybe knock-out single game GA tickets. After all it is about the $.

We'll open preorders for the public later this week. I'll post here as soon as I have a date/time.

There's no GA All-Session for the postseason.

Will GA sales for postseason be the same as they have been all year?

I just got my tickets too, but I hate them. They're 210 row 10. It's going to be my first Blue Bell experience so I'd be willing to pay several hundred dollars to somebody with the right seats to trade with me for the whole regional. If anybody with good lowers is interested please let me know.

I haven't sat in the new 210. But I have sat in the old 204 about 7-8 rows up and it really isn't bad. The rake of Olsen keeps you fairly close to the field. Considering one lower level ticket is only $81 for the whole series you would be throwing away your money to pay somebody several hundred dollars.

Then again I get front row seats, over the A&M dugout; for this and each of the previous 24 seasons.

Seating along the third baseline, I would almost choose risking life and limb on the berms over seating on that side.

We may not have as much fun as the 1st base side crowd, and the average age is higher (my family is the youngest by far, I started going when I was 3); but we have our own little culture. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if we are the only section that can boast season ticket holders since year 1.

Also, a few times each year we get one of our coaches teed off. It was a lot easier with Deggs (especially before he learned to mellow), but is usually good for some chuckles.
jkag89
How long do you want to ignore this user?
You took that all wrong denied. While I really enjoy the group in and around where I sit since they enhance my enjoyment of the game, my comment was not meant to take a shot the good folks over yonder. Ok maybe just little, there something not quite right with someone that can enjoy a ballgame (by choice) from the wrong angle. Some of us just are first baseline people, sit anywhere else the field just seems to be situated wrong.
