If Nebraska were staying in the conference, the Ags 2012 league schedule would look like this:

15-home
-----------
3 vs. KSU
3 vs. Mizzou
3 vs. OU
3 vs. Tech
3 vs. Tex/Bay split

12-road
----------
3 at KU
3 at NU
3 at OSU
3 at Tex/Bay split

But with the Huskers’ departure, the Ags will have to make a return trip to one of the road sites (Norman, Lubbock, Manhattan, Columbia) from the past season in order to have the 12-home, 12-road balanced conference schedule in 2012.

Sometimes logic doesn’t work with Big 12 scheduling, but it seems like teams that played at Nebraska in 2011 would be the ones needing to host the Ags in back to back years. Which means a road trip again to Kansas State or Missouri in 2012 seems likely. Perhaps the red raiders will be the first conference opponent in the new park.

I don't think the Big XII would send us to OK or KS for both series, so going back to Lubbock would make the most sense.

Funny the Aggies traveled to Lubbock in back to back years when we entered the Big XII.

Having to go to Lubbock two consecutive seasons is the very definition of cruel and unusual punishment. Let's take this to court!

Even though our record is better @Mizzu than it is @Tceh and clearly any city in the US is better than Lubbock; I think I'd rather go back to Tech next year over Mizzu. 2011 Columbia left a scar.

If they're logical at all, they'll keep the OK/KS schools split as home/away. I suspect Mizzu will play the "loner" in scheduling; paring off A&M/Tex; BU/TT; OU/OSU; KU/KSU and letting MU fill that last hole as much as possible.

Will they have their NIT Regional appearance on their tradition of excellence wall?

Mizzou has to come back to Kyle this year after just being here in 2010. Maybe they'll make it "even" and send us to Columbia in back-to-back seasons in baseball.

i believe Tech's Dan Law field renovations are supposed to be complete by the 2012 season, so the Ags could be the first conference opponent in that new/renovated park
