I would have been better off... I got soaked.
A recap for W:
It was overcast and chilly all day but hadn't rained. Before the game started, some fans got up on top of our dugout and swept off some dirt/dust that had accumulated there. I felt the first few drops a short while after the game started. It wasn't so bad at first, but then it started raining lightly. Around the bottom of the fourth, it really started to pick up. But they played on. In the sixth inning, water started creeping into my seat under my butt, so I stood up. It was really cold and my toes were frozen, and it rained on. I was really surprised at this point that they were still playing.
When McCormick came in to pitch in the seventh, he asked for some of that stuff for the mound, and we all stood around waiting for the grounds crew to do their work. At this point, I was wet and cold and irritated, so I started to yell Phil's name. I hadn't been doing much of that over the weekend. But there weren't as many fans there to be bothered by it now, so I didn't care. Then House hit the single that scored Jackson. I hadn't even been able to start on the spices references.
After the next half inning we were told that there would be a thirty minute delay, so I went down to the concorse area to wait around. Conner Mach's mom told me to "Look at your pants legs they're all wet. You must be freezing." Indeed. After the thirty minutes, the game was called and the Aggies won.
Now I'm in San Antonio. Gig 'em.
