4 losses by 1 run and the other by 3 runs...so, we have been right there in every game.

Our pitchers have held the opponent to 2 runs or less in 14 of our 19 games!!

If they hitting can show any kind of consistency, or get on a roll, we will be a very tough post season out. I wouldn't want to be a team facing our pitchers in a 3 game postseason series.

Maybe it is just taking Sawyers some time to get the hitting attack turned around! If OU is really all that good, it is a good sign that we rocked 3 of the pitchers for 3 runs each today and a 4th pitcher for 2 runs.

This was my chief concern about Deggs stepping down so close to the start of the season. Sawyers had virtually no time to work with the hitters before the season began.

I have confidence that he will get the offense turned around, but it will take some time.

That really is incredible. Our pitchers are nails this year.

On your other point, yeah we've had some close losses. But let's be honest, we've had some close wins too, and needed some help from opponent miscues to get by.

Agreed. Gonzaga Friday, FIU Friday, Cal State Fullerton... Gotta hope our pitching can continue to dominate and our bats get slightly better. If they do, we'll be scary good.
