My daughter turns 18 tomorrow

She is looking forward to her 19th opening day in Feb.

Her first was at Pan Am (Edinburg) at 8 weeks old. That year she also made trips to Lubbock and 2 to the Box.

It's hard to imagine that in 2 seasons she'll be sitting upstairs fulltime.

My special thanks to all of the past players that have made memories for her (and me) - especially John Scheshuck, Steven Truitt, Sean Haney, and Gregg Porter (she still has the sweatbands he gave her after a game). As I said at the beginning, I'm getting old, so I'm sure she will later remind me of some I've left off of the list (if she doesn't kill me for posting this).

Also thanks to all of the fans that have become family over the years. It's been fun watching all of the kids grow up. A special wish for John Craig - currently serving his 4th tour in Iraq - stay safe and she's looking forward to going with us for that first Whataburger when you get back in July.

why so sad? I'm not moving out any time soon and it's not like I'm going very far. Besides, I'll always be your baby girl. Regardless if I like to admit it or not, you have taught me a lot and wouldn't trade what I've learned from ya'll for anything. Not to mention I'm not totally banned from downstairs to say hi...I'll just be upstairs for most of the time representing the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2013!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hard to believe that little 2-year-old from the mall is 18 now! Back then your parents were teaching Lynette and I how to Jitterbug. Now, despite your mom being as young and beautiful as ever (and SMALL) I'm guessing your dad can't lifts his own arms above his head nevermind your mother!

Look forward to seeing y'all this season. It won't get here soon enough.

It's amazing what I can do when I double up my dose of Geritol - something I learned from Gus . I have to admit I married above my means - she's always had to make me look good on the dance floor, the load is just a bit more now .

She's moving upstairs at a good time. She's always been good to my son but he's rapidly approaching the age where he'd have a crush on her.

Of course I guess he'll just follow her up!

And now there is a new baby joining the section.....

I was hoping to bribe her into diaper changes and stuff....

ya...I'm pretty sure I don't want to be changing diapers during my last season downstairs before I am permanently kicked out.

Tanya - You feel old, I remember her first season. It was my second downstairs. She was much better behaved then her father was and still is.

Send her to 203 for sure. Most involved section at Olsen.

You guys begging her to come come up to your section might not be so happy with that; it is an expectation of us gezzers in Secion 104 that she straighten y'all out. Less heckling by form & pattern and use a little creativity. In other words use those fine young minds of yours go beyond what is already in place.

And there's something wrong with fresh ideas?

She's looking forward to spending more time upstairs this year (from 203 thru 206). You guys will have to "teach" her the ways of "Olsen" - but I have to tell you that she has been raised on this stuff.

Wadd - didn't realize you were only there 16 yrs ago - wow, that just confirms old age doesn't it (using ONLY and 16 years together). Ohh.. as far as the curse of Ritter - too late, once you've experienced him, you're forever cursed .
