She had a couple of shaky seasons before bringing in this senior class. Some people thought it was time for a change.

If I remember correctly, it was because we had pretty good teams but could get to the WCWS. I think alot of it came right after the lost to Bama in the supers (hard for me on that one with two of our best players injured). It crept up again early last year as we were picked to win the conference and we finished fourth with a loss to tceh. I was one of the ones saying it was a stupid idea to fire her and know you see why I thought that.

Yeah, I get the whole 'public employee' thing. But please spare me the whole "I pay her salary" routine. There is such a thing as discretion and discussing others' salaries is rude and used to be taboo.

She's not a coach in one of the 'big three' sports. She doesn't get paid millions per year. With that in mind (and like someone already mentioned, I think you'd be surprised at what her true salary is). I'm sure Byrne will address the issue if it exists and that's good enough for me.
