Now, before I get flamed, I saw this article on Facebook posted by a baylol friend of mine. I cannot confirm ANYTHING in this article and even hesitate to post it to ask the question I have on here. So...what reason could the SEC possibly have to keep this game from happening? I think it's baylol *%&$^ing about the SEC, but IF it were true...why would it be? Thoughts?

Since when does the SEC office approve of OOC games? If anything, the SEC would welcome Baylor since I highly doubt the SEC office fears the Bears. They don't exactly have a OOC P5 record to boast about, and I mean that literally as they don't play any P5 OOC.

Also find it funny, since I'm pretty sure Baylor's own AD, or maybe it was their coach, that said they weren't going to change the way they schedule, yet now they are saying Tenn turned them down.... Doubtful.

LSU beat wisconsin

IF true, I would bet that it's because SEC doesn't want a shidt attendance away game. The SEC is better than that. It's all about the $$$$ and BayLOL sucks for away $$$$. I suspect the SEC would be fine with a UT home game only. Or 2&1.

I don't believe any of this story. I don't know why UT would ever entertain the idea of a home and home series with Baylor. We did have to fill a spot for UAB next year, if anything it would have been a one-time neutral site game. That UAB game was already scheduled to be played in Nashville, I doubt they could change the venue without cost at such late notice, so the game would have had to have been played there. Baylor/Waco just isn't the type of destination that UT typically looks for when scheduling a home and home OOC series.

For all the crap folks here give Baylor for their crappy OOC schedule, I suspect they have a hard time scheduling more difficult opponents.

Most likely, the SEC office would say no to Baylor because of the threatened lawsuit. IMO.

Maybe Tenn wanted an easy way out to comply with the one quality OOC opponent a year demand from the SEC office.

This has to be pure PR coming out of the BDF because there is no way briles would even consider scheduling someone of UT's toughness.

It isn't going to be long before no one will want to schedule UT. They are getting damn good.

Torturous interference

Baylor sued the SEC in 2011.

Wouldn't mean much to the world of football,gaylor.

Visiting players are made to feel welcome at Twin Peaks-Waco.

OOC games do not share gate receipts between big name opponents when they do a home-away series.

As said before, not sure why the SEC office would hinder programs from scheduling games.

There had to be another reason.
