Welcome, tigers/war eagles. Always good to see you folks.
How is Bo Jackson doing? A group of our former defensive players still feel concern for his health and always ask about him. They had a memorable day against Bo in the Cotton Bowl, and still remember what a good player he was.
While you're here, please explain why you have an eagle mascot but you're also the tigers. Frankly, I like it. "War damn eagle" is a great motto.
Tell us about your relationship with that other school in your state. The one that also has two mascots: crimson tide and elephants.
I admire any school that would have a coach named "Shug". One of the all-time nicknames.

We know you guys are getting good again, fast. We expect a tough game. Our own team is hurting on defense. Should be a wild game. Good luck and have a good visit. You are welcome at our tailgates.
And if you're nice, we'll explain the legend of
"War Damn Tomato!" to you. This superhuman tomato plant -- obviously an escapee from one of A&M's world-famous agricultural programs -- still lives somewhere within the cement confines of Kyle Field. Lack of water and soil don't even phase it. Sun, heat, wind, thunderstorms, and even getting stepped on by 90,000 fans cannot hurt it. It laughs at herbicides. Our stadium maintenance crews have given up trying to defeat it.
War Damn Tomato, you hapless barners!
