I have read on multiple threads that we have some very young recruits coming to watch games. Coach G is doing a great job of planning 2, 3 & 4 years down the line.

Does anybody know who we are looking at for 2007? I have heard DeAndre Jordan's name thrown around. This year was amazing, and I think we will build on the progress for something even better next year.

Also, there seems to be a lot of juniors pledging early this year. Illinois and Syrace already have 3 top 100 national recruits pledged. Several teams have 2 top 100's. In the Big XII, KU has gotten Cole Aldrich and BU got LaceDarius Dunn. Should be an interesting year.

I think we already have a guard from Tulsa committed for 2007. He committed a long time ago, it seems. Haven't heard anything about him in a while. DeAndre Jordan definitely seems to be the #1 target for us right now. Rivals has him ranked #1 in Texas and #14 overall in the nation, although others don't seem to be quite as high on him. A lot of people seem to have Gary Johnson of Aldine #1 in the state, but I haven't seen much linking him to A&M. Other guys to look out for are D'Walyn Roberts of Duncanville, Mike Singletary of Kingwood, Alexis Wangmene of SA Central Catholic, and Brockeith Pane of Dallas Carter.

With a name like that the defense minded Gillispie should be all over this kid. Talk about the return of the Wrecking Crew!

I think Alexis should come here, but only because his high school teams mascot is the Buttons.

I saw DeAndre Jordan at the Northwestern State game. He's definitely every bit of 6'10". It's good sign that's he's coming to some of the games.

I wasn't to impressed with the video I've seen of Jordan though, but he would a big guy that can move which is always a plus.

Ryan Harp is a 2007 recruit that BCG has been trying to get. I brought him to the Auburn game and he loved the atmosphere. He is being highly recruited by many schools. He is 6'4" and is an excellent peri shooter. Actually tonight at his game Bobby Knight is there himself to watch. He plays for Abilene Cooper High. I was astounded at the people who call him. In the short 4 1/2 hour drive to CS from abilene he had recieved calls from HC's from Stanford, TAMU-CC, and buzz from A&M called him too. His dad was a coach Dennis Harp, I think that helps with his "social" aspect of the recruiting stuff with all these head coaches.
