21 tonight. That's not horrible, but I'm wondering if that's going to manifest itself as a chronic flaw in conference play. Right now, we've only had consistent play from our #1 and 2 guys, and if they continue to push the edge of fouling, there could be quote a few games where they've fouled-out and we have trouble keeping it together at the end of tough games, much less making a surge.

I've been saying for a long time that fouls will be our Achilles heel. The only reason TSU stayed within 40 was because we sent them to the line so much and they did a good job of cashing in.

We won't beat the good teams in the close games if we give up that many freebie points.

The most disturbing thing is the number of "dumb" fouls ... reachins after getting beat off the dribble, etc. One mistake is compounded by the foul and they add up. We have more depth than last year overall, but there is still a significant dropoff in the talent level when we go to the bench.

While we may need to cut down on dumb fouls, the bottom line is that you are going to get called for a lot of fouls when you play such aggressive defense. It leads to a lower shooting % and more turnovers, but you send the other team to the line often.
