I agree...having Charlotte on the schedule is the best medicine. Spurs rest Finley and Barry last night without a problem.

The Mavs can easily handle Charlotte without him.

Hopefully for Dallas' sake it's not serious. Back problems can last a long time. It would suck if neither team in the state of Texas could even come close to competing with the Spurs.

Finely and Barry are good players but they do not mean as much to the Spurs as Dirk means to the Mavs.

Charlotte isn't as bad as you would like to think. They are young, but look at their schedule so far. They have been in every game. They can definitely beat a Dirk-less Dallas team.

Again, Dirk isn't as paramount to Dallas' attack as T-Mac is to Houston's. T-Mac is simply a more dynamic player and does mean more to his team.

Edit - Contrary to my initial statement on another thread that if the Mavs were without Dirk for 3 weeks, they'd struggle too. In response to a trash talking Mavs fan...by the way. The one's for MassAggie and his penchant for digging up quotes from other threads and taking them out of context.

Dallas better not just assume they will beat Charlotte. They gave the Spurs a bit of a run last night and they play with tons of energy and no fear. They will beat some teams that are much more talented than they are this year.
