Wow it's weird to say that. Anyway, he's on Rome in a second if someone wants to listen. BTW, you guys should check out the pistons BBS. They really think that they lost becuase of the Refs. They think that dunk was a charge.

That dunk was a charge but no way do I expect the refs to call a charge that late in the game on a close play. You cant take charges in the finals and expect them to be called.

That dunk was clearly not a charge. Rip was still moving to get into position after Horry was in the air.

On the other hand, RIP clearly elbowed Parker for what should have been an offensive foul on the last possesion of the game, but there was no way they were going to call anything on anybody.

The refs might seem like they help decide games during the middle of contests, but they will swallow the whistle in the last minute of what is probably a Championship deciding game and I think that is good. Imagine the outcry if they would have called Rasheed for that T when he called the timeout Webber style. The actual clock operator intially stopped the clock with .1 but nothing was called. The refs aren't going to make a call to decide a game like that.

I disagree. I don't think the dunk was a charge. I watched the replay, and Rip's feet were not set. In fact, at the moment of contact betweent the 2 players, Rip's momentum was actually carrying him FORWARD into Horry (Rip was on the tips of his toes at the moment of contact). A camera angle from behind the goal clearly showed the Rip initiated the contact.

That said, I saw enough slaps on the arms (that counted as blocked shots for the pistons), and elbows to the face (that went as no-calls) to know that the pistons fans can kiss my @ss.

And that foul on Duncan at the end of the game when the Spurs were down 89-88 was a flagerant, Spurs should have got the free throws and the ball, but that wasn't called so it evens out. They went at Duncans head, not the ball on that one.

Rip's already falling back and Horry hasn't even touched him. In addition, he's not set, he's turned.

he's not set, it doesn't matter, Chauncey missed the game wining shot in regulation, and hamilton missed the game winner in overtime

SPURS WIN!!! SPURS WIN!!

Where is the Pistons message board that they're whining on? The only board I've looked at is the ESPN one, and I didn't see any whining there.

it was not a charge on horry . . just a great play

the foul on duncan was a good hard foul to prevent an easy layup . . you see it all the time . . nothing flagrant there

and nothing should've been called at the end cause hamilton was creating most of the contact between him and parker. it was a poor play by the pistons. hamilton is not good at creating his own shot. twice down the stretch they looked for him to do that and came away with 2 shots that didnt even touch rim.

i thought the refs finally officiated a decent game. there were definitely some missed calls both ways but i thought in the end it was fair and balanced. and the spurs won fair and square.

just the opinion of a mavs fan

So, what'd Avery have to say? Missed the interview.

Good post hbk_ben. It was the first well officiated game all series.

Byron06, are you still bitter your team is out of the playoffs? Some of the stuff you say is kind of out there. The spurs are not my #1 team, even though I follow them as close as the rockets. But that was not a charge. Anybody who saw it knows that.

a) Robert Horry did not committ a charge
b) even if he did (which he didn't), he picked up a bad blocking foul earlier in the game when he was clearly set just outside of that ridiculously stupid circle they have on the floor.

Turnabout is fair play, and I sure didn't hear any Pistons fans complaining about the bad calls that went against the Spurs. Blaming the refs for the outcome of a game is what losers do. More power to ya', Piston's fan!

horry picked up three terrible blocking foul calls in the second half.

Yeah, picking up bad blocking fouls is Tony Parker's job.

You pretty much have to go right into the guy's chest in order to get a charge called in the playoffs. Rip was turned a little and Horry glances off his shoulder... i.e. no charge called. In fact, I would've preferred no call on that play.
gnglonghorn

ditto natural. but it was not a charge and tech. it was a blocking foul. I think the ref didn't think Horry was going to make it, and so he called the foul during the shot and of course since he made it he got the continuation.
