No Duncan. No Devin Brown. No lead after 3rd. No problem. Spurs big over Rox.

Maybe the sun got in Houston's eyes.
Or their dog ate it.

See you in the playoffs. With Duncan and the Spurs' top reserve... the good lord willin'.

Yes Austin, having grown up under the Liberal Orange Curtain, I can vouch for sh*thole status.

Austin is different and not my cup of tea, but it is definitely no ****holw... I forgot about Lubbock... it goes Lubbock, San Antonio, then Houston

If you are talking about the "season" series, then you have a point.

If you are talking about the "overall" series, then you need to do a little research. SA leads the "overall" series.

BTW, when was the last time you won a game in San Antonio??? I believe it's been 8 years, buddy.

What's that I hear? Sounds like the band playing in today's Moral Victory Parade is starting to warm up.

GO SPURS GO!

San Antonio has yet to beat the rockets at full strength this season. Poor spurs. You better hope you dont see us in the playoffs.

The truth is the truth. Go research the rockets record with sura and howard in the lineup and then come talk to me.

spur fans are just trying to make some sense out of this. They know they havent and cant beat the rockets at full strength.

I am not a Spurs fan by any means. But I will put myself out there as somebody who believes that the Spurs without Duncan could easily handle the Rockets without McGrady in the playoffs (all other things equal). So just take away both teams star and I still give the nod to the Spurs.

Question - how did the Spurs do against Memphis in the regular season last year?

About as good as they did against the lakers in the playoffs.

props to the spurs, though. they stepped up under pressure while the rockets caved.

i'm very impressed with ginobili and his all around game. he beats you not by scoring but by playing great defense, hustle, and smart passing.

until we meet again in the playoffs (hopefully, in the 2nd round).

and btw, rockets have lost 15 straight at san antonio.

No Howard vs. No Duncan

OMG, you're right! Since Howard is obviously better than Duncan, it's no WONDER the Spurs won today!!!

Get real.

Howards role to this team has been very important and your an idiot if you think that spoon and padgett are capable starters. Is howard better than duncan? No. But he is an important piece of the puzzle to the rockets success. Tmac and Yao/mutombo are the most important pieces and i think this team will only go as far as the offense and defense they provide.

Go look at the rockets and how they started this season and then look at how well they have played with howard and sura as starters. You will see an interesting statistic. Sura gives the rockets energy and toughness tha they dont have without him and howard gives them great consistency and a really defined role with the starting line up. Go do some research and come talk to me like i said.

you dont have to say it, its the attitude of every spurs fan on this board. i guess it comes from not having any other sports teams to root for in san antonio so they just become completely obsessed with the spurs.

Happens every spring. Mavs/Rockets fans go nuts.

For your information, the Spurs whipped your Rockets today without Tim Duncan or Devin Brown, if you'd take the time to read the thread title.

Very awesome game. One of the best I've been to all season.

We had a couple of Tmac/Rocket fans in front of us, they were sooo funny! Dancing and stuff to all the tunes the SBC played and just talking up their team and stuff. I traded banter with them a couple of times but it was all in good fun...didn't get serious or anything like it would've with a Dallas fan lmao.

Manu was absolutely amazing as always. That slam he had was just WOW! He got robbed at least twice by the refs that I can remember. That mauling at the end of the half and that jumpball with Tmac where Tmac really hacked his arm off. Manu got pissed but he didn't let it affect him, if anything it made him more determined.

Barry...wow. I was beginning to think that Atlanta was a fluke, until the second half and Brent caught fire. Good to see him getting his shot...I just hope he can keep it up. We are going to need it.

Tony...ehh...what was wrong with him for the first 3 quarters? Maybe it was the Eva factor or something I don't know but he did stink it up for a bit. He turned it on the in the 4th though. Kinda funny how he usually goes off in the 1st and we complain he dissapears in the 4th but then today's the opposite lol.

I thought Robert was pretty decent today. He hesitated on a couple of threes but he played good D and made some buckets. Sean Marks did "okay" for the minutes he was in. I was hoping to see a Kiwi Dunk over Yao but I settled for that block he had in the first half hehe. Nazr was non existant today...don't know what happened to him.

Bruce was pissin me off. He was playing "okay" defense on Tracy but for some reason he couldn't get any trademark baseline threes off in the first half. Either they weren't passin him the ball or when they did he would miss it. Finally came through in the second half...So he'll stay on my good side for the time being lmao.

Rasho played GREAT defense today, and his fairy floaters were actually going in today...always a good thing. I remember he got jacked by the refs on a clean block in the 4th and there was alot of booing for the refs but I didn't see any cussing by Rasho so it's good that he's not letting the referees get into his head. I remember where he used to ALWAYS be the first one to get a foul or be the one with the most fouls going into the second half. He's playing much better now...and pacing his fouls that he commits.

Couple of side notes:
I was wondering where Tim was the whole first quarter, I thought he didn't come or something and then my friend Wane was like "nah they get fined for that if they don't have a legit reason to stay at home" like Devin. Finally saw TD come out with Tony during the halftime shoot around. He was dressed pretty spiffy and looked good walking around.

At the end when Manu was grabbed to do an interview, as the camera was coming over Timmy went over to Manu and ruffled up his hair big time it was so funny!

Also saw Timmy talking to Bruce forever while Bruce was sitting on the scorer's table. They were doing some kind of hand motions (I guess it was like they were doing that thing during the Atlanta game) maybe it's some kind of code or game or something, who knows hehe.
