I was looking at the NIT playoff schedule and it looks like A&M got stuck in the hardest section. We've got Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Missouri, Depaul and Clemson. 3 of those teams (plus us makes 4) were bubble teams. Clemson and Missouri are hot...I'd say by far, this is the most difficult corner of the bracket to survive.

You have to go through everyone if you want to win it all.

That may be true but we get to play the games at home. That is a huge advantage for us.

And you're forgetting Buffalo, Wichita State, Memphis, and Houston. A lot of folks thorugh Buffalo and Wichita State were good enough to get bids.

On the other side, only Georgetown really impresses me.

I don't know how they seed this tourney, but the class of the NIT is on the right side of the bracket, easily.

The conspiracy theorist would say they tried to give Maryland an easy path, since they'll get a TV audience and should sell tickets in NYC.

I would agree, they only have to get by Oral Roberts in the first round. I would say they did that also for Indiana, Notre Dame, and Georgetown as well.

Why don't they just have 10 team brackets and give the top two from each bracket a bye. that would make it easier than those stupid play in games. You have 8 play-in games (or 16 teams) that have to play an extra game to get to NY. That doesn't seem quite fair or tournament like.

I mean, even the National Championship has ONE play in game and that's for #64 and #65.
